It just seems like bias as opposed to reasoning, honestly...Whatever. All I'm doing is explaining my reasoning.

Baloney!! I haven't said anything about Snake for weeks!! And Shadow's game is rated e10+!This is just like when you were arguing that snake won't be in because his games are "too mature" despite arguing for shadow.
Oh trust me, Geno's memorable. Cut back to preBrawl days, he hadn't been playable in a game in over 15 years, he had liscensing issues involving permission from a third party company that would have a 40% chance of making Sakurai use Slime or Black Mage in his place anyways, and yet he STILL was so overwhelmingly popular that his smashboards forum had over 300 pages and three quarters of the internet couldn't see him not getting in. Or was I mistaken, I dunno .Remember, Sakurai wants the most iconic, memorable, and recognizable characters in Smash, Geno and Fawful do not fit any of those requirements.
To be fair, wasn't this all about opinions in the first place? It just seems like bias as opposed to reasoning, honestly...
It was originally rated T, but ESRB changed it. And it was going to be rated M, but SEGA of America had Sonic Team tone it down upon hearing about the new T rating from ESRB.Baloney!! I haven't said anything about Snake for weeks!! And Shadow's game is rated e10+!
E10+? Funny, considering how stupidly edgy it tried to be.Baloney!! I haven't said anything about Snake for weeks!! And Shadow's game is rated e10+!
Well, that solves that.It was originally rated T, but they changed it. And it was going to be rated M, but SEGA of America had Sonic Team tone it down upon hearing about the new T rating from ESRB.
I honestly found the swearing cute.Shadow shouting curses when he falls into a pit? check.
Shadow shooting people because an alien eye told him to? check.
Super edgetastics opening with lots of death, explosions, and standing over a beaten up sanic before boosting at the screen? Check.
If you've changed stances on snake, then i apologize for the misunderstanding.
However, you still haven't addressed your backwards point against villains that seemingly eludes shadow.
Well, that solves that.
The whole game is pretty much just that.I honestly found the swearing cute.
Like a thirteen-year old who just found out swear words. It's adorable.
When listing Villains, he included Dedede, Meta Knight, and Wario. They could all count as anti heroes, really.Technically, Shadow is an anti hero. Of course not being a villan doesn't affect his chances at all. Which are slim, very very very slim. Besides, he would take the spot of other 3rd parties, and if we get lucky to have 4 or 5, they should rep different companies, like Namco, Square Enix, or Level 5.
Another Sonic character before a rep from a different company?
0/10 Would not Like.
The funny thing is, this game was gonna get a Teen rating. The whole game is pretty much just that.
I guess somebody in Sega thought it was great to target that audience of kids that thought that sonic was becoming "too kiddy". (essentially just what is nowadays considered the COD Kid audience)
I'd imagine The ESRB pretty much shot them in the foot with this one. (Not like the game would've been good anyway)The funny thing is, this game was gonna get a Teen rating.
They we're going all the way with this, no matter how stupid it is.
It's like they had the concept down, but then everything else just fell apart.
If Nintendo buys sega i do think more sonic newcomers would be a lot more likely. This is honestly such a slightly biased argument.
Shadow can be playable, it's just not likely to happen this title. There's all this speculation about Nintendo buying out SEGA in the future, that would make his chances skyrocket. Don't quote me on it, because I'm not saying it's gonna happen, I'm just saying it can. If anything this title, he'd be an alternate costume for Sonic
It was pretty much the same only with more swearing and somewhat realistic blood.I'd imagine The ESRB pretty much shot them in the foot with this one. (Not like the game would've been good anyway)
Me tooif there is still no shulk by then i will be slightly insanely pissed off.
Honestly, besides those four? None, I feel. The only other two I'd remotely consider would be Simon Belmont (if Snake doesn't return) and maybe Layton, but even those are a stretch.Aw, no one cared about my PacMan moveset. I wanted opinions. *sad face and puppy Eyes*
Anywho. ^^ Still Shadow talk here? :/
So, apart from Sonic, MegaMan, Snake, and PacMan, what third party characters are iconic enough for Smash? BomberMan? Rayman?
If anything, I kinda want Simon Belmont. So, apart from Sonic, MegaMan, Snake, and PacMan, what third party characters are iconic enough for Smash? BomberMan? Rayman?
Although snake puts a stimy on him, i'd like to see simon belmont. Castlevania games were pretty fun back in the day, and a character designed around whipping and stuff would be cool.Aw, no one cared about my PacMan moveset. I wanted opinions. *sad face and puppy Eyes*

But the question is, even if Nintendo owned SEGA, would Sonic really need to bowl over on characters like that?If Sonic had 5 characters in SSB, go!
My picks:
-Sonic
-Tails
-Knuckles
-Shadow
-Dr. Eggman
......That was my point. Also, @ Starcutter , Square Enix is actually mentioned in the Superstar Saga credits as being the owners of Geno. So they had to ask them to put him even in that dinky little position.
Forgot about Belmont. That would be pretty Epic, actually. ^^ But yeah, I agree on this.Honestly, besides those four? None, I feel. The only other two I'd remotely consider would be Simon Belmont (if Snake doesn't return) and maybe Layton, but even those are a stretch.

From what I've heard (haven't played them either), they're okay at best.
Sure, why not? The series is about as big as Mario and Zelda, and has even more recurring "main characters" with obvious moveset potential. But the question is, even if Nintendo owned SEGA, would Sonic really need to bowl over on characters like that?
Well, theoretically if Sonic was no longer Third Party, it would be a very large and iconic Nintendo franchise. After all, the Sonic series is notable enough to get Sonic in Smash to begin with, so that's saying something. It probably wouldn't go straight up to five if that were to happen, but I could easily see more Sonic characters being introduced. But the question is, even if Nintendo owned SEGA, would Sonic really need to bowl over on characters like that?
Ok, then here are my five picksSure, why not? The series is about as big as Mario and Zelda, and has even more recurring "main characters" with obvious moveset potential.
As for third party characters we don't currently have in SSB...my favorites are SImon Belmont, Bomberman, Ryu Hayabusa, Hero (Dragon Quest), Cloud Strife, Pac-man, Lloyd Irving, and Professor Layton.

Eh, I'm not that big into him either.Also. I hate Shadow nowadays.
Because he has legions of annoying fans that love him for some reason.Eh, I'm not that big into him either.
But how come? I'm curious.
Obviously classic pac man, with all of his moves just being him chomping in that direction. That would be the best joke character ever.People, I'm sure most of you know more about PacMan than me. Tell me, what would PacMan look like in Smash? What design is seen as the 'true/best' one?
As awesome and stupid as that would be, I doubt Sakurai would make such a simple character. XDObviously classic pac man, with all of his moves just being him chomping in that direction. That would be the best joke character ever.
PacMan, eh, I doubt it, but it would be cool. If we see him, he should probably be as he has been appearing of late.People, I'm sure most of you know more about PacMan than me. Tell me, what would PacMan look like in Smash? What design is seen as the 'true/best' one?
Classic Pac-Man is the most well known design, but the general consensus is that it would be his Pac Man Party or Ghostly Adventures design. That doesn't mean he can't have a classic moveset though.People, I'm sure most of you know more about PacMan than me. Tell me, what would PacMan look like in Smash? What design is seen as the 'true/best' one?
See, Cliffjumper? Now you are acting right. Doubting he'll be in the game is ok. Trying to force others to accept that he won't be in just because you hate him, is not.PacMan, eh, I doubt it, but it would be cool. If we see him, he should probably be as he has been appearing of late.
The Blue BomberIf Sonic had 5 characters in SSB, go!
My picks:
-Sonic
-Tails
-Knuckles
-Shadow
-Dr. Eggman
You could say that for pretty much any character.Because he has legions of annoying fans that love him for some reason.
"But he needs to find out who he is!" Or something like that. And he tries to be way too edgy. He was cool in Sonic Adventure 2 but it went downhill from there.
Honestly, I like comparing him to Linkin Park.I find him to be one of the most overrated characters in video game history.
ONE OF.
