Leif is in the exact same position as Marth was in Melee you know, except he wasn't the first lord, but as you can see neither were Roy or Ike. Are you mad? He specifically explained why she was more important. Regardless of what you say, that fact still stands that recency is an important factor in character selection. Leif starred in two Famicom games that aren't well known at all, versus one game that literally saved the entire franchise and is very well known and successful. Who do you think has higher priority?

So, while I've not played many Pac-Man games, this is a Special Moveset I could see~

Special: Chomp. Basically, take Wario's Chomp, give him a new move, and make this Pac-Man's move. ^^ Fits so well.
Side Special: Pac-Man lets a random Ghost slide across the ground. Won't be effected by gravity.
Down Special: A Cherry will appear a set distance from Pac-Man. Pac-Man will look happy, charge forward at great speed, and eat the Cherry. If a character is standing right at the Cherry, they will turn into Eyes, float backwards a good bit (ignoring gravity) then turn to normal. Good to use very Close to a edge.
Up Special: Turns into Classic Pac-Man, and a line of White Dots will appeare above him. As they appear, you can change their direction, and PacMan will chomp away at them, damaging foes in the way. Slow but precise.
Final Smash: traps all foes in the Classic maze. It will work basically exactly like the game Pac-Man does. Chase down the opponents!

Also, his Down Smash would have him spin around as two random Ghosts swirls around him in the opposite direction. ^^ Opinions?

The only point I was making from this is that your absolute of "Who in there right mind would consider Lucina likely, but not Leif!?!?!? That makes NO sense." is an opinion with little weight. Opinions are fine, it's absolutes that grind my gears if they hold little of the logic they claim to have.

Not sure what Pac-Man's general design would be. A toothless one, at least.

The thing though is that Roy was recent (not even having appeared in a game yet, muh recency indeed!) at the time of Melee while Ike was the most recent lord at the time of Brawl. Sakurai suggested Roy while Intelligent Systems suggested Ike for the same reasons: Marketability. Tell me, what hot new game is Leif the best character to promote for? You know, besides the two he had in Japan-only back in the 90's? Or are we going to argue that he'd be a retro pick now?

Because being on the cover of one of several Fire Emblem games (despite not being the main character) does not make you more important than a two time MAIN character. Nor does being a girl.

She wasn't the main character, but she was a main character. Who said she was the main character? She was definitely emphasized in the game's opening and plays a important role in the game's story, though. That's definitely something towards being recognizable and important. Once SMTxFE is out, she'll be a two time MAIN character just like Leif, the main difference being that she has a sizable fanbase in more than just Japan.

I don't get why you're suddenly bringing up gender into this, by the way. I never once made it a point that she'd bring in female-representation.

With all due respect, I'm not continuing this argument so as to avoid flaming you. And no it's not because I don't want to listen to reason. It's because I want to listen to good reason.

More like because you lack a decent argument in the first place and that you'd like to avoid receiving yet another infraction for flaming. My argument is "good" because I'm actually able to persuade others to agree with me. That's kind of the point of an argument in the first place. I don't know what your criteria for "good" and "logical" is if it doesn't immediately agree with you. A little close-minded to not see both sides of an argument, I'd say.

Actually, his stance is incredibly sound. You're literally the only one in disagreement with it, because you don't like it.

Saturn, do you understand that Awakening actually did save the series?
If it was a failure Fire Emblem would be discontinued.
If it succeeded he series would go on.
It is perhaps the most important FE game of all time, and that at least deserves character representation.

I agree to this. If Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn warrants a character, I think Awakening warrants one too.

What do you mean "all she has"? That's real-world application and a huge advantage over Leif. Sakurai can add whomever he'd like, but he still has to adhere to what other companies allow and disallow him to add into Smash. If Intelligent Systems can't see any future marketability to come from Leif, why would they want him added? For being important to one arc of the Fire Emblem series? That literally puts him in the same boat as Lucina for being important to one arc of the series, the difference being that Leif is no longer a main character in the series.

Ugh, every time I come to this forum when I get the chance, Lucina is the first name I see, followed by a severe clash between users. Can we just stop the endless debate, it's the most pointless thing i've ever laid my eyes on. I honestly am growing to resent the concept of FE in the next game because of certain people. I am in no way undermining anyone's intelligence, but there is SO MUCH to talk about, and yet here we go with another argument. Please, just stop.

Now to be on topic, I have never gotten a chance to see the character who's trophy was revealed today. Can someone tell me who it is? I'd like to know

Having also not played an FE game, my only view on Fire Emblem and SSB4 is that I'd prefer Ike not be cut. The addition of anyone else alongside Marth and Ike is not a question I have much investment in (even in the event of Roy's return, as likely or unlikely as that prospect might be).

Now to be on topic, I have never gotten a chance to see the character who's trophy was revealed today. Can someone tell me who it is? I'd like to know

It's Phosphora from Kid Icarus Uprising, apparently. Having not played Uprising, I too am unfamiliar with the character and the role they played in that game.

More than makes up for lack of a new character. I can't stop looking at it, it is fabulous.
So this trophy brings me to one of two conclusions: There will be trophy models created specifically for the game, or Phosphora has a model like this created because she has a more prominent role in the game (such as an Assist Trophy).
And if Phosphora is an AT, I doubt there would be any more, so...

So not really relating to the game.
