This is still my Most Wanted Roster (or at least the reasonable one I can make), with the four at the bottom being DLC characters. ^^

I like it. 50 Slots. 59 characters counting Sheik, Ganon, SS and the Pokeymans, as well as the DLC characters.

cranky over dixie?

odd choice.

Partly because I like Cranky much more than Dixie, and partly cuz' Cranky would bring much more to the game than Dixie would. ^^ Sure, Dixie is female, which we need more of, but Cranky would be the first Old character in Smash. Plus, Dixie may have her hair for recovery and such, but Cranky has his Pogo stick, Wheelchair, mean complains about the game, etc. ^^

I'd prefer any Donkey Kong character that isn't Kiddy Kong over Diddy with a Ponytail.

Besides, Cranky's been a series mainstay since Day 1. I think the guy's more deserving than Dixie by all accounts, as well as generally more appealing because we don't have any crotchety old men in Smash yet (except Ganon :awesome:). Getting Scrooge McDuck Cranky and K. Rool would be sexy as hell.

I had a dream last night that Dixie Kong was a newcomer. As more of a K. Rool supporter (but still not minding if Dixie made it in), I was very confused when I woke up. I never dream about games or anything, so maybe this was a sign

Now, I've only played the two new DKC games, so I don't know everythign Cranky does, but here's a moveset I could see.

Special: Clatter Teeth. Throws his fake teeth. Will get stuck on a foe, causing damage over time. Can only be one False Teeth at the same time, like Wario's hog.
Side Special: Cranky sits down in his wheelchair, rocking back and forth. The longer you charge, the rockier he will go, and when you let go, he will zoom forth, kinda like Ike's Side Special.
Down Special: Pogo Bounce. When on ground, will Bounce straight up, when in air, will work like a Meteor Smash.
Up Special: Complain!! Cranky will complain about something (partly related to what is going on), and a speech bubble will appear above him, acting like a balloon. Cranky grabs it, and slowly floats up. If he does it while almost knocked off stage, he will mention it somehow.
Final Smash: Retro Kong. Cranky turns into the original DK (looks and moves just like the original one, but is in 3D). Controll the direction in where he will toss, or roll, his barrels.

It said that Sakurai isn't giving ANY of their characters any priority, that would be PacMan's only hope, so yes, Pacman has no chance of ever coming to Smash
Sonic didn't get any priority either, but he made it. Sakurai once said that Pac-Man won't be playable, but Reggie said there won't be a Wii-U price-cut, RIGHT Before a price-cut happend. Game people lies a lot like that.

No priority =X= PacMan won't be in. And right now, he has a very big chance, being none other than one of the biggest gaming characters ever made.

Pac-Man's fairly small compared to characters like Ridley and Bowser. Hell, he's shorter than Mario.

But in all seriousness, Pac-Man was big. Decades ago. People greatly overstate his popularity and importance. I still think he has a fairly decent chance of appearing in Smash, though, but only because Namco is working on the game. Otherwise I doubt he'd even be considered.

1. Reggie is not the big boss, that would be Satoru Iwata
2. Yes, Sonic got priority, because of the extremely close ties with him and Nintendo.
3. No, PacMan has absolutely no chance of being playable, Sakurai, unlike Reggie, has more authority.

You obviously doesn't care about reason and will keep trying to force your anti-Pac opinion on others I see, so I see Little Point in arguing with you about it. Have fun.

So... Pac-Man too big for Smash? XD

If Dixie were in SSB, that would be cool if they did something like that.
Well in general I do think people underestimate Dixie Kong just because she's a primate like Diddy.

Whenever people bring up that she would be an clone of Diddy Kong, I try to convince people otherwise. It also helps that lately I've been researching other fighting games as inspiration for several characters, hence why I made the comparison between Dixie and Millia.

This, coming from the person who's absolutely insistent that Sonic will be getting (and entirely deserves) another rep.

Sonic got in because everyone and their mom wanted him in. If he would've gotten in for any other reason, he would've been in from the beginning.

Pac-Man has just as much a chance of being in Smash as he has always had, aka the interview didn't change anything. Sakurai didn't say that Namco won't get a character, he just said that they won't be considered for one before Konami, Capcom, Sega, or any other 3rd party Nintendo friend just because they're working on the game. They can very well still have been considered due to their status as a company who often works with Nintendo.

Pac-Man has a very real chance, and I'm saying that as someone who thinks he's one of the worst possible characters they could add.

I'm only going by facts, it's you who doesn't care about my reasoning. I'm not ignoring your reasoning, I'm disproving it! You don't like it, then start a fight with someone else, because I'M OUTTA HERE!!!!!

He's not starting a fight. Your arguments are weak and flawed, and your "facts" are diluted and bent for your own preference.
So, what does everyone think about the Mii now that he has 4 stages in Smash? I honestly think he's pretty likely now.
I'm not gonna be surprised or angry if Miis got in. They have their merits and I should respect that.

Oh my Arceus, that's a good one. I'm not even sure what to say. Thanks for confirming you are a troll and that I am wasting my time on you.

Now, back on topic. ^^

I Believe in Miis, and hope to see them, for many reasons. ^^ And while there are plenty of hints for them, just the fact that we've seen not a single Mii, not even in the Cage, makes it very clear for me, haha.

@ Sehnsucht Sehnsucht
A lot of people Counts the Wii-Fit Training room as a Mii stage, since your Mii does work out there (I Think). I Think that's what they mean, though I am sure that one is just for WFT.

Miis were always pretty likely, considering how prominent they are in Nintendo software these days. However, I do agree that with more and more stages for them being confirmed it's really just leading up to the inevitable.

Behind your eyes.
Concerning Miis, is the general consensus that they will/might be:

A) Visually customizable (i.e. you can pick an existing Mii, or the default Mii on your console)?

B) Moveset/stats customizable (i.e. you can customize moves and/or stats)?

C) Some combination of A and B?

D) No customization at all (i.e. you play as a generic Mii avatar with a built-in moveset to represent the Mii concept as a whole)?

E) They are not playable, and will be represented as ATs/Stage Elements/Fighting Alloys/etc.

For D), I think it might be interesting if the Mii's appearance is decided at random every time you choose it. I'd also imagine that size will have an impact on the character in some regard.

I'm undecided on which of the above is most probable, though.

C would be ideal and the most fun.

Not sure if customization will extend as far as the moveset, though. I hope it will. If I'm going to be able to play as myself, I'd like to be able to pick what I do.

I'd say the most likely is that the Mii will have a set moveset, and that you will simply pick one of your Miis to play as. ^^ Possibly they will work slightly differently depending on the size of your Mii.

Yeah, it's three, I was just trying to remember how many there were at the top of my head.

My stance on the Miis are still the same, they have 95% chance of getting as playable at this point.
I figured they had a chance before, but I think their chance has increased significantly. As long as they are interesting and don't get in the way of other, more important characters, I should be fine with their inclusion.
