I think so too, and I just don't get it.

You like SMRPG? GREAT. It's a...well, it was a good RPG for it's time anyway. Does it deserve a character to celebrate that singular game? No, of course not. Mario, Peach and Bowser were all playable characters in SMRPG anyway.

Even then, why is it only Geno gets the demand? Mallow's as big a character as Geno in that game and he barely gets a look in from the Smash fandom. Then is it because he got that Superstar cameo?

As a Mario fan, this bizarre desire to get such an unimportant character from that series into a game with limited slots baffles and annoys me. All the support that's been shown since Brawl for Geno has done squat to secure Geno even another cameo role in another Mario and Luigi game.

I doubt very much we'll get any additional Mario character in Sm4sh anyway, but if we do I'd rather it be someone who is genuinely important, or at least semi important, to the Mario franchise.

If we get a character from a Mario RPG, It would be Paper Mario or Fawful.

When you're talking about series where each game has a self contained narrative that likely will not effect future games, such as Xenoblade (and Fire Emblem, to an extent,) they kind of do.

It's not like we'll likely see Shulk in the future.

Brawl was about 7 years ago, tim changes things. Then why did they say no to Lara Croft? Why did they say Cloud's hair was copyright infringement for Jim Sterling?
Cloud is popular and is getting a remake. Black Mage is the FF icon. Ridley is important to his franchise, woops, not playable! Geno is also dead. If you say 'no he isn't' then answer me this. Why haven't we seen any Geno stuff all these years?

I'll be honest; if Geno gets in as a Mario character before Toad, I'm dropping this entire series altogether. Officially we've entered bizarro world where Nintendo only makes playable pay for DLC of obscure minor characters.

I'll put up with Bowser Jr, I'll put up with Rosalina, I'd put up with Paper Mario...hell, I'd even probably put up with Daisy and Waluigi before (Captain) Toad...but Geno?

Not even the main character of a spinoff game made by a third party that appeared nearly twenty years ago and has only made a singular brief cameo in one of the many many far more successful spiritual successors of that game? That guy as the next Mario character?

Is Geno's fandom some sort of cult or something? Because I don't get it.

Someone please fill me in on why this obscure guy deserves to be included in Smash as a Mario character over the likes of Paper Mario, Toad, Waluigi, Nabbit or Daisy when he's not even managed to appear in a single Mario sports or party game yet.
A bar set so low, even frigging Spike of all characters, is considered a high enough caliber to be playable in.

His disappearance was because of the copyright issue and the fans wants to fix that by putting him in smash even just a trophy would be great for him the fans miss him and they did beg Nintendo to use geno in a game again since 19 YEARS we want to bring back this character in the new generation of gaming. smash bros is not about just who's character has a better chance to get in, smashbros is also about who's character that we WANT. if we are going to get him in smash that's mean he would appear in a lot of games in the future just like pit after brawl he did get a new game also his backstory was way better than paper Mario and daisy and waluigi and some other Mario characters that people has been asking for he has done a lot of things In SMRPG that other Mario character couldn't do and also he is not the same type of Mario character that you see everyday in every Mario game

If you are talking about Mumkar (Probably messed up the spelling) being playable, he can't. He is major spoilers for the game and before you bring up , it's bigger than that. Yes, the fact that Homs opperate the Face Mechon was introduced with Fiora, but If people know Mumkar is Metal Face, that takes some of the surprise away, and It's more impactful if Fiora is revealed before Mumkar. Alright, there's a few questions that I've been genuinely interested in getting a Geno fan to explain to me, so I'd appreciate it if you could take your time to explain these to me:

1. Why do you think Smash Bros. is the place to try and get him to return to the Mario series rather than asking for him to be included in Mario Kart?

Considering that series seems desperate for new characters to include(evidenced by having to create some in Pink Gold Peach, Baby Rosalina/Daisy, and now even guest characters from other series to pad it out) surely this would be a superior platform to reintroduce Geno and Mallow as Mario staples, where they only have to compete with other Mario characters for a placement rather than the entirety of Nintendo's creations?

2. I keep hearing Geno is different from other Mario characters thus why he's liked so much. May I ask how he is different?

Side note: a RPG allows for better narrative flow than a sports game or a platformer in all fairness since there's plenty of dialogue.

Even so; this is Daisy's backstory:
Daisy is the tomboyish and energetic princess from Sarasaland. Her kingdom is invaded by the alien Tatanga who hypnotises her people causing them to become violent, before the alien kidnaps her to marry her and become the new ruler of the four lands that make up Daisy's kingdom.
It is implied in Super Mario Land 2 that Tatanga was actually hired by Wario in order to keep Mario busy long enough for him to take over Mario Land. Daisy was a pawn in Wario's grand scheme.

I mean, I don't think that's a bad backstory for someone who is considered a spinoff character 90% of the time. Good for you Daisy.

False! SSS SPECIFICALLY says SE owns Geno! Why didn't SE use Geno before that game? Metroid went 8 years without a proper game and is still waiting for one, Nintendo does bad choices with old stuff all the time, Geno isn't an exception if Nintendo truly owns him.

I've been on Youtube. You were one of the only 5 Geno supporters I saw there. Everyone else said he was impossible and that they didn't care, his popularity isn't as much as it was 8 years ago! Top 15 for Japan? That's not good enough as 5 more characters are the maximum people expect, especially as there is a much smaller budget! And SE would have to say yes, but they've copyrighted a video about Final Fantasy before because Cloud's hair was used without permission. I can bring evidence, Jim Sterling made a video on it

So you're saying that the entire Smash community's thoughts are summed up in a few posts? I notice you didn't bring up the 3400 page Geno support thread, which, I believe, is one of the largest ones on this site.
