I like dixie. I dont care much for K rool. So no i dont.

And ill reiterate dixie is in a weird position. She could be a clone super easily but she could be totally unique super easily as well. It would all be based on what sakurai would decide

courtesy of @VeemonTamer i believe.
Kudos for this Down-B.

Villains are great to have but how many recurring, important Nintendo villains are there after K. Ridley that are feasible fighters?

Snake Man's stage from Metal Blade Solid
King Boo is too big, and so is Petey:troll:
King Boo was never bigger than Bowser (at normal/playable size.), but I do think Petey Piranha would be a little awkward as a smasher.

King Boo would be unique (Nobody would want him, but he would be unique.), um...That's kinda it.
Wolf from Starfox?
I never considered him as a villain. But then again I haven't played Starfox.

I'd really like to see a current standing of character popularity in Japan. The last one was very interesting but it was from prior to the ballot.

Courtesy of @Thelimomon, yet another great reason to support K. Rool. I don't think he'd get all of his personas as costumes, but when it's such a major part of the character, I think you could expect to see at least Kaptain in the mix.
THrow in the Pharaoh costume and the unused Pilot costume and we nearly have 8

There were none. We basically thought of all the characters at the start of development. We decided on characters we knew we could make. However, there were a few in consideration, such as Heihachi from “Tekken.” That’s right. However, implementing Heihachi’s movement in Smash would be difficult…

Now we'll never reenact Street Fighter x Tekken exactly. :crying:
He should have played Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale for inspiration. :smash:

Let's make a list with the villains of each series

(Bold indicates who I think is viable.)
  • :4mario: - Basically fully covered with Bowser, Bowser Jr., and the Koopalings
  • :4link: - Ganon is brought up, but there's the identity issue.
  • :4dk: - King K. Rool, of course.
  • :4samus: - Ridley, although Sakurai gave his reasons.
  • :4pit: - There's Hades and Medusa, but the less said about another KI character, the better.
  • :4marth::4pikachu: - Doesn't have a single, notable villain.
  • :4kirby: - Dark Matter is the overarching villain, who keeps getting shout-outs in the games, and has a sword form, which can be considered viable.
  • :4littlemac: - King Hippo's there, and arguably Donkey Kong, though the franchise probably won't get a new character unless it gets more games.
  • :4fox: - Wolf, even if he technically isn't, still fills the same niche.
  • :4ness: - Porky may be considered un-viable given his boss appearance in Brawl. This pains me as a Porky fan.
  • :4falcon: - Black Shadow is viable, while Samurai Goroh is not, being an AT. If a new F-Zero ever comes out, I think Samurai Goroh will be chosen for his seniority.
  • :4olimar::4shulk: - No viable villain.
  • :4duckhunt::4gaw::4mii::4rob::4villager::4wiifit: - No villains whatsoever, strictly speaking.

I don't think it really counts. It seems to me like it's just a wild creature with maternal instincts.
It is definitely a Villain from the characters perspective
Also a the most annoying thing to fight

Ganon and Medusa are fairly plausible for 5mash if they appear between now and then.

Other than that? Mostly characters who haven't appeared in years. Characters who have appeared less recently than K. Rool with less history with their own franchises (though Dark Matter comes close, even if he only takes the sword form once).

He was the final boss iirc. don't like posts with just a media clip, so I recommend typing stuff aswell
Oh Sorry, he may or may not have hijacked the final boss's brain yeah but he's more a ass than he is a full on vilain

Still up Peach's dress.
It's times like this I really wish Vaati had returned a few more times: Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures and the Minish Cap was a great start, I'd of really liked him to keep being a reoccurring villain in the Toon Zelda series.

(fingers crossed he's the villain of that new Four Swords game that dropped Purple Link and is now pretending to not be a Four Swords game, but totally is)

Fire Emblem's most notable villain, if only due to popularity amongst the fanbase, would be the Black Knight.

Even so, it's debatable if Zeligus / the Black Knight is really a villain or merely an anti-hero with extreme methods. The actual villain of Path of Radiance is Mad King Ashnard, and the villain of Radiant Dawn changes so often it's difficult to keep track of 'em all, though it finally culminates in Sephiran being revealed as the main antagonist and Goddess Ashera as the final boss.

Incidentally, you could argue that Robin is a villain. Do recall the Tactician's heritage and how this ties into the climactic fight~

This...but with Ghirahim. Maybe they had to delay Zelda Wii U for sdo long because they needed time to make Ghirahim's model extra fabulous.

Here's a problem with Black Knight though. He's supposed to be stronger than Ike, yet...How can you have a stronger and heavier Ike? He's already uberstrong and very heavy

[collapse=Awakening spoilers]Honestly, I think Robin is the closest thing we're going to get to a real Fire Emblem villain. While still inherently good, Robin does serve as the ultimate antagonist and final boss of Awakening due to Grima. This is even reflected in Robin's Smash portrayal to a degree through his/her use of dark magic.

Since the Fire Emblem series is always changing its cast of characters, I doubt Smash would ever invest so heavily in one installment that we'd get the game's villain. Robin's probably the best we'll get in that regard.[/collapse]
