So what do we make of the mini-direct this Sunday?

My friend was thinking that Smash won't be mentioned at E3, and now I see that as a legitimate possibility.

I absolutely think a veteran is likely for this mini-direct. I just wonder what other content is getting added.

Wolf and Roy are likely to be revealed for the event. They can fit all of that in a span of 20 minutes.

I think it's fair to expect a new trailer - Ryu, Roy, Wolf - take your pick.

I hope to see some results for the ballot though.

Honestly I still think we'll get Smash reveals in the main E3 presentation and maybe during E3 itself.

It'll just be more staggered. You have to admit they'd certainly get the most impact by revealing Ryu in the digital event when more people will be watching and you'll have more people watching who will care, since I'd imagine the gaming community at large would be more excited about Ryu than the smash community seems to be.

I'm thinking:

Smash Presentation - 1 character reveal (Roy/Wolf)
Digital Event - 1 character reveal (Ryu)
During E3 (like WFT/Pac-Man) - 1 character reveal (Roy/Wolf)

I think there's a slight possibility we might get word of the first ballot character as well, so I'd keep one eye open for King K Rool too.

Curious whether all Smash information is going to be dumped within the Sunday Direct or whether it will feature some information, while E3 features the rest. For example, we get a "surprise" Roy trailer Sunday, then Ryu, the big icon, gets the spotlight during the main Digital Presentation.

I don't think so.

While it is a full 20 minutes, I think we're going to get a chunk about Mother, Miiverse stage plus possible announcement about new stages in general, a couple new Mii outfits, and most of all: Tournament mode. Yes, THAT thing we haven't heard about since November. We may see one of the other veterans announced, but not both.

20 minutes is more than enough time to reveal Wolf and Roy. Ryu I can see either getting revealed at the NWC or at the digital event.

You can have all of that shown off in like 10 minutes though. Having 5 minutes (maybe even less) for both character reveals would work out fine.

Yeah, I feel like this Direct could mean we'll get very little, if any, Smash news during the E3 Direct.

I'm expecting it to be average thought I am looking forward to videos of Lucas before he is made available as a download.

For character speculation thought? Just Ryu and maybe Wolf. I'm placing my bets on Roy being reveal at the Fire Emblem concert next month.

It would be nice if this Direct was focused on some Lucas gameplay, stages, and other DLC stuff, and E3 had characters.

My prediction is that the files that were found in the game for the characters Roy and Ryu were not confirmation of those characters, but in fact, a cryptic hint from Sakurai. Both Roy and Ryu start with the letter R. R is the 18th letter in the alphabet. Do you know who is 18 years old, who's name starts with R, and comes from a series already associated with smash 4?

My pipe dream is both :popo:&:wolf: coming back in the same trailer and finally having the TRUE roster of Smash 4. I can have patience for Ryu and Roy can take all year if I care

Isn't it obvious?
Ryu has three letters. Roy has three letters.
3 + 3 = 6
Capcom has six letters. "C" is repeated twice, so we can remove one and it is now Apcom. That has five letters.
"AP" is a series of examinations run by College Board. One such exam is the AP Computer Science A Exam.
Apcom obviously is short for AP Computer Science. Thus, AP exams are confirmed for Smash. :troll:
This DLC character is gonna have a serious learning curve.

You mean not everyone wants them to Smash?!

My pipedream is that all three of my most wanted characters (Wolf, K. Rool, Bandana Dee) are added to Smash. I mean, it's likely that one of them gets added, but I think that all three getting added is a pipedream.

And Ridley in Smash Bros is another.
