There's a reason the Mario and Pokemon franchises do so well; their character designs are fantastic.

Going to? What do you mean "going" to? They already have been making pachinko games. And that and their other businesses in Japan make them far more money than their gaming business provides.

Didn't know that, well on top of that they're making like phone games or something. Kind of sad, but maybe Kojima will go off and do his own thing.

King Hippo but there really isn't anyone who could set themselves apart from being more than just Little Mac with a better or worst recovery or is someone unique enough.

Mike Tyson is the last one to use, maybe Doc but unless we get a new protagonist who looks different from Mac and can work from there, no one really

There's that training game from Club Nintendo, but can a whole moveset really be drawn from that?

Well I guess it could work, it just seems kind of lackluster. He does have a model already, a bit of a creepy one, but that's neither here nor there.

Even if it did, I wouldn't buy it. It makes sense as Little Mac's popularity in Japan has probably skyrocketed due to smash so Japanese players would like to try Punch Out out

Maybe not but a new Punch Out game is so well warranted that it hurts to think about. If I can think of two Nintendo games off the top of my head that I would say absolutely deserve sequels, my go-tos would be Punch-Out Wii and Kid Icarus: Uprising.

I would like a new Punch Out ~~though not as much as a new F-Zero~~, but I'm not sure what could be done to change it up. I'd be fine with a straight up sequel that has the same formula as the Wii one, but would Nintendo do that?

Of course they would they've found a formula that works and once Nintendo has found a formula that works they tend to stick to it .

The problem with F-Zero is that Miyamoto treats the franchise like a red headed step child but takes enough claim over it that he doesn't let anyone else touch it. For the past decade he's basically just made excuse after excuse to not bring it back to avoid just outright saying he doesn't like the series anymore and has no interest in it.

last E3, a big major's mask replica was brought out on stage.
later we got majora's mask remastered.

Could could have seen that?

In relation to Miyamoto/F-Zero, yeah. It seems like we get a new excuse every year:
"Thought people were tired of it"
"Don't know what to add to make it truly great."
"Need a new control interface."

The way Nintendo treats F-Zero reminds me of how Capcom treats everything they have that's not Monster Hunter or Street Fighter. Relagated to cameos and shout outs, but never actually gets anything new. Shame, since F-Zero is easily in my top five favorite series of all time. I love it so much, and seeing it get nothing for over a decade is incredibly frustrating.

As for Wario Land, that's another series close to me (Hell, Wario Land was my childhood and made Wario my favorite game character ever) that I'd love to see the next addition to. But I also see that as pretty unlikely.

Which is true. He's a genius that's pretty much had a major role in every major Nintendo franchise and has contributed to gaming in immeasurable ways but there are some decisions that he's made over the years that have pissed me right the **** off.

# No villains in smash

Seriously though, Smash is obese with sidekicks but there are like three villains. Everyone else is like an anti-hero or a smuck that likes to mess about.

I'll eat every hat I own (That's about 50) if Dixie gets in over Rool, I can't deal with this.
