After thinking about it more, the Miis shouldn't have a generic customizable moveset. It really seems like just a throw in for the sake of customization. They should have their own unique moveset.

Hey guys, i'm in a good mood after finding out about my college acceptance, so I felt confident enough to post this roster! Let me know what you think! :)

Looks pretty decent to me, I'd settle for this roster! (Although some will say Krystal is questionable but I ain't gonna stop you)

I like it. It's different, but nothing absolutely outrageous...except the Miis. I don't see any appeal to them whatsoever. I think the Villager and Wii Fit Trainer destroy any reasoning there would've been for them. We have our avatar character, we have our spontaneous moveset, and we even have our representative for the Wii games (though some people argue that WFT only represent the Fit games). I also think Shulk looks a little out of place, despite how much I like him.

Krystal is another slippery topic. I see the appeal, but I just personally disagree.

One final thing is that the lack of Sheik disturbs me.

It could be like my roster where I'm still waiting for my icon maker to make a version of Zelda & Sheik that's in the box style. Same with Samus & ZSS, I doubt he'd cut them without giving some reason.

Honestly I am not a huge fan of Sheik so i would not mind if she was cut/replaced with Impa. I have meh feeling on ZSS but i do like her moveset.

I considered that, but I made note of it just in case.

I don't see why Chrom merits an inclusion. The only reason I've ever gotten or can think of is advertising and the sales of the game. Which I don't believe are or have ever been merits that have gotten one shot characters into Super Smash Brothers. Even Roy only got in because of his fire.

Then there are people who think IS has Sakurai on a leash and that he'll mindlessly add whatever character they suggest to him and that he'll have complete disregard for said character's uniqueness and/or potential.

Well for me it's more that I would like to see someone from awakening make it into smash more so then simply it just being Chrom as I do feel that Awakening did leave a impact in the FE series for better or for worse depending on one's opinion similar to how Ike's game left impact prior to Brawl's development A lot of people default to Chrom because he's the 'face' character of his respective game just like Ike and Marth are the faces of the games they represent. Now the split does make Awakening a bit more complicated then it was for PoR persay. Which is what brings up both Lucina and the Tactician character into the discussion as well.

Me, I'd take any of the three.

We may not agree always, but, when we do, it's a beautiful thing.

WOAH.

oh hey chinningan.

Chrome might be in, but I'd rather have Robin. and who knows, Sakuri might see something you don't.

I don't understand the mindset of people who say "I'm not a huge fan of this character so I wouldn't mind them getting cut." Jigglypuff is my least used character and I don't care for her at all, but I would still be upset to see her cut. The thought just feels wrong when there are people who actually do like the character.

People believe there is a pattern of always having Marth plus most recent lord.

For the record, adding Flame-effect flags to all of his attacks did not make Roy unique. I'm very much hoping that Sakurai knows this.
When you use it for projectiles and making it so opponents get trapped in your attack (like his upward B and A) it does become somewhat unique.

Roy is not unique.
We CAN'T SAY how unique Chrom will be since we don't know how he plays.
That being said Chrom DOES warrant an inclusion based on the success of his game. Characters like Villager aren't really all-stars per se, but they represent an important game so basically they are the incarnation of said game in Smash Bros. Awakening SAVED THE FRANCHISE so I think it would be ridiculous not to represent it in Smash Bros.
You can argue the same for Robin. And I suppose Lucina as well.

As much as it annoys me, I don't blame them. It's not common knowledge that both were included for reasons unrelated to recency. Being recent is certainly beneficial for franchises who's characters keep changing, so it's a plausible inference since it coincidentally happened twice. But, in reality it's been debunked by Sakurai and Chrom obviously shows that adding the most recent character is NOT beneficial by default. It's actually problematic.

What's ironic is that I actually have Robin. Who AGAIN is coincidentally the most recent main character. But, like Sakurai in the past, my reason for having him has nothing to do with recency. I have him because the Tactician/Avatar has already been done in the last game which adds to his importance (because it has two appearances), it is obviously going to be present in future Fire Emblem games, and Robin is unique as well as a different unit.

So it looks like I'm coincidentally living up to the coincidental pattern of Sakurai coincidentally adding the most recent FE character for reasons unrelated to their recency. :awesome:

Roy does have a unique mechanic where the base of his sword is the sweet-spot which translates into nearly all his attacks.

The trick of bringing him back is making that technique more useful: for example, having a leaping Forward Smash in order to land the base of his sword on enemies keeping their distance.

OH BOY! FIRE EMBLEM!!!! I'm fine with either Chrom, Tactician (most preferred), or the return of Roy. Each of them have their own merits, and I believe they are recency/popularity, uniqueness/recency, and massive popularity respectively.

I will most certainly raise your ire by saying this, but one of my most wanted characters happens to fall into this category.

I would like any new FE character honestly, the only ones I would be unhappy with are Roy (not a newcomer) and Chrom (nothing special). Anyone else is fine.

How about I DON'T CARE WHAT HAPPENS WITH FIRE EMBLEM?
I don't like Roy or Robin, Chrom is really just tolerable to me, nothing too interesting there.
All the really cool and unique options are impossible or really unlikely.
Personally I've never had much interest in FE Smash representation anyway, there are so many more interesting franchises to talk about.

Roy should shout FIRE EMBLEM for all his attacks. They are all fire based. At least he is representing half the name.

That's rather subjective, FE is right up my alley, so I find it very interesting. Unless you are, of course, referring to Fire Emblem in the context of Smash Bros, in which case I can see your point.

Yeah I'm with this guy. The only FE characters I would really somewhat care to see are Lyn and Anna and since their both very unlikely, I really couldn't care less to what happens to the Fire Emblem roster. Just bring back Marth and Ike and I'm more or less satisfied with the Fire Emblem part I guess.

Forget Fire Emblem, let's talk:

Fire Emblem as a series is great, but in Smash Bros it's just swords swords swords.
It doesn't have to be but it is.

Instead of Meowth, lets just do the cat suit item from Mario. Everyone would look cute with their own cat suit.

Stop stealing my two cents.
But I agree entirely.
