"Exists in a new game."What even is a "shoo-in" in this day and age?
Then again we had Kid Icarus Uprising."At least two new DKC installments" might not even come out before next Smash. Talk about an arbitrary quota, especially when just one new DKC is enough to prompt zealotry over what a "shoo-in" Dixie is.
Actually that's not what people say much of most of the time. I still hear people say popularity being a factor for a character to a shoo-in in most of the threads I visit here."Exists in a new game."
If we assume that, then we'll go no where in speculating and create again the disaster of what the pre-Smash 4 speculation was.General rule of thumb in Smash: don't create rules. Don't follow Sakurai's self-established rules either. Otherwise, you will be fooled, time and time again.
As well as Punch-Out (Wii), X and Y, and Fire Emblem Awakening. Then again we had Kid Icarus Uprising.
So my reason is somewhat flawed. You are right about that.
Not really. I'm referring to the "criteria" that was created during Brawl that many people cited when supporting their characters. When I know Sakurai didn't follow that nearly as closely as them, or maybe at all.If we assume that, then we'll go no where in speculating and create again the disaster of what the pre-Smash 4 speculation was.
Most of the rules Sakurai has said in interviews have applied to many of the newcomers added in the base game. Best not to go the other route either.
He did state that there would be a new direction for new characters added for SSB4 before the games were announced in E3 2013. In retrospect, we should have realized the criteria was different when he said that in many interviews,Not really. Time to add Goku to my roster.General rule of thumb in Smash: don't create rules. Don't follow Sakurai's self-established rules either. Otherwise, you will be fooled, time and time again.
Brash the Bear. What even is a "shoo-in" in this day and age?
I don't know. I get that he has a decent following, but what could he bring to the table?Brash the Bear.
Slamming his fists onto a desk in a fit of rage and challenge his foes to a time attack. C'mon, even BKupa finds him a worthy addition in Smash.I don't know. I get that he has a decent following, but what could he bring to the table?
Sorry, but I'm still not convinced.Slamming his fists onto a desk in a fit of rage and challenge his foes to a time attack. C'mon, even BKupa finds him a worthy addition in Smash.
Who is brash the bear? I'm being honest here, I really don't know who Brash the Bear is.There is a distinct lack of Bear Reps in Smash. Brash the Bear is the perfect remedy to this problem.
Sig worthyThere is a distinct lack of Bear Reps in Smash.
I mean, best bear conversation is the same other conversation we were having, actually. All this talk of bears and people are forgetting the best, obvious choice:
What even is a "shoo-in" in this day and age?
*obligatory Alfonso joke*Going back on Sandbag as a newcomer, imagine playing Home Run Contest as it. Oh how surreal that would be.
The best option for "DK Rep" there could ever hope to possibly be.Who is brash the bear? I'm being honest here, I really don't know who Brash the Bear is.
He's one of the Brothers Bear who challenged you to a time attack challenge in Donkey Kong Country 3. It's understandable why he's forgotten like the other bears and Kiddy Kong since DKC3 was considered the weakest of the trilogy.Who is brash the bear? I'm being honest here, I really don't know who Brash the Bear is.
Well, he certainly wasn't a shoo-in for the initial roster, that's for sure, despite being regarded as an absolute guarantee for the longest of time.
Missing the joke bud.Well, he certainly wasn't a shoo-in for the initial roster, that's for sure, despite being regarded as an absolute guarantee for the longest of time.
Oh, and don't forget Chrom. (And for that matter, every character on the Gematsu leak)
10/10 Would mainSlamming his fists onto a desk in a fit of rage and challenge his foes to a time attack. C'mon, even BKupa finds him a worthy addition in Smash.
...I don't get it.
Mewtwo's guaranteed because we know he's getting added later on...I don't get it.
But if that's the case then why would he be considered a "shoo-in"? Doesn't that mean he's "confirmed"?Mewtwo's guaranteed because we know he's getting added later on
That's the point. But if that's the case then why would he be considered a "shoo-in"? Doesn't that mean he's "confirmed"?
What's the point?That's the point.
Shoo(shoe)-in = definitely gonna happen.What's the point?
Goku could have a pretty unique moveset.Just imagine if there happened to be a contest where the winner with most votes actually was guaranteed to be in Smash.
Just think.
Considering the winner of such a contest would likely have been Mewtwo anyway, it probably wouldn't have changed too much.Just imagine if there happened to be a contest where the winner with most votes actually was guaranteed to be in Smash.
Just think.
You never let me have any fun...Missing the joke bud.
But then that would mean he's confirmed correct?Shoo(shoe)-in = definitely gonna happen.
Mewtwo's definitely gonna happen because we've been told he's gonna happen.
I believe in the sense that they're using it, the term "shoo-in" is not limited strictly to speculation, if that helps. But then that would mean he's confirmed correct?
But he's already in. He can't be a shoo-in if he's part of the cast.I believe in the sense that they're using it, the term "shoo-in" is not limited strictly to speculation, if that helps.
I'd be making multiple accounts just to vote for Vaati.Just imagine if there happened to be a contest where the winner with most votes actually was guaranteed to be in Smash.
Just think.
Technically, he's not in yet; he's going to be in.But he's already in. He can't be a shoo-in if he's part of the cast.
Or if you don't need an account to vote simply go on many computers to vote(for Wolf)I'd be making multiple accounts just to vote for Vaati.
