-2 NEW assist trophies
-2 NEW stages
-6 NEW items
-another character appearing on the battlefield in some way
As opposed to:
-0 new playable characters
-0 assist trophies, never even were any ones to be reused
-1 stage, 0 new
-3 items, all 3 of which could be considered Mario items, 0 new

Sure, we haven't seen all that the game has to offer yet, but we can realistically assume that what we've already seen is what we're gonna get, with maybe a few minor things added here and there.

Take your frustrations elsewhere. This uneven representation needs to stop. Especially when the more popular series gets the short end of the stick. Don't try to talk about nostalgia, boy.

@ Weeman I have recently realized that Greninja is cheating punk and that Hawlucha is the real deserving Kalos Pokemon for Smash.

1. Pick up the item
2. Throw it / raise it up
3. Summons a random character / pokemon
4. Assists you in battle in its own way

Nintendo generally does several game themed Nintendo Directs or just a general one in the span of two months. Give it time, the next one we may see could be as late as mid-September.

We're expecting a Smash direct by then but we're gonna get loltrolled by a Captain Toad direct or just a normal direct with a bunch of games being revealed (+Smash). Regardless whichever, it's probably gonna have a newcomer reveal

I'd figure a second Smash Direct is more likely to be done since the 3DS version is coming out soon. Probably to let us learn more of the 3DS version and give us some teasers of the Wii U version for them to go over in the next direct.

But yeah, whatever happens we're more than likely to get a Smash newcomer alongside it.

Not only because it would serve as the final boost to increase sales but also to keep us Western customers hyped, perhaps by announcing a highly-requested character here in the West. You know who I mean.

If there's no Smash Direct (which, again, would be a BAD move), we'll get a normal Direct. And those always come with a newcomer trailer anyways, so it's a win/win situation.

They'd probably want us Western customers to be hyped for the remaining month, so they should focus on giving us what we want. Of course, they should give the Japanese audience a highly requested character too, but they shouldn't forget about us.

I guess i see it more if there is a direct which i believe will be a general one it will be a more a Japanese newcomer (I will admit i don't know who they want) and maybe we we will get our newcomer in a second smash direct if there is one.

Ignorant?!?! I know that Sonic is easy to mistake for a Nintendo character at times, and I know that Sonic is the closest third party to Nintendo, but it doesn't matter, a guest is a guest no matter how close.
