Let's review some rosters, because I'm bored and I have no clue who I really want in Smash 4.
First up, @
Kenith
. I feel like this is a very solid roster, as it includes a reasonable amount of characters, being 54. Along with that, we have a Dixie Kong, the villainous triforce that everyone loves (King K. Rool / Ridley / Mewtwo), Ghirahim (first Zelda newcomer since Melee), and Paper Mario. It seems like it could be realistic, but seems perhaps a little too optimistic, knowing Sakurai. The roster also stays very safe, but I have nothing against that, I love most the newcomers on there.
Pros
- Newcomers that are highly requested.
Cons
- That being said, most of those newcomers play it safe.

Second, it's @
pupNapoleon
. Standing at a large 58 characters, but it's cool, because it's an optimistic roster. Newcomers include Paper Mario (always good), Dixie Kong, the villainous triforce + Vaati, Duck Hunt Dog, Sceptile, Shulk, Chibi Robo and Isaac. First thing off the bat, is that Duke nearly covers the most common character requests in one, and shoves the rest into DLC. While I think DLC could work well, I think that 20 DLC characters is
way too much. Especially having 3rd party DLC characters. Having 78 characters on the roster is way too
.
Other than that, it doesn't play very safe. Chibi Robo, Marshall, Vaati, Duck Hunt Dog, and Sceptile aren't your common choices when you think of newcomers in Smash Bros 4. But I like that. It brings a more Sakurai-rational approach to things, thinking outside the box.
Pros
- Unique newcomers that are outside of the box and don't play it safe
- Newcomers that are highly requested.
Cons
- 58 Characters + 20 DLC Characters is way too much, even for an optimistic standpoint.

I'm sorry if none of this makes sense, it's late and I'm tired, but I really wanted to do this so I can keep conversation up.
