I think Palutena and Takamaru are very likely.

Isaac, Toon Zelda+Tetra, and Shulk have a good chance too.

Don't know about the others, but as you can see in my sig, I'm holding out for Lyn, Lip and Robin too.

This is the greatest line to come out of this thread right now. It's a really big thought that I've started to put into my rosters...
I have characters that can be possibly cut in some way, shape or form and make two copies of my roster. I won't say whom, but it doesn't include Snake.

Well there's a difference between if a character "shouldn't" be in and if a character won't be in. I think that Jigglypuff shouldn't be in Smash, yet she still keeps coming back. Some people think that 3rd parties shouldn't be in, but they are. Also "same flawed reasons"? I could say the same for people who argue against Ridley's inclusion.

The implication of most people that have strong distaste for other people's opinions is that they view other opinions as somehow morally reprehensible. This isn't always a bad thing, mind, but it's ridiculous when speaking about trivial and morally neutral matters such as what characters one hopes be in Smash Bros.

Here's a new roster on the off chance we only get a single DK newcomer, I've removed Dixie and added Saki. Yeah, Saki.

Ridley: Second most requested character, mostly in the west. Very unique and air oriented character, likely would be the biggest as well.
Palutena: Yeah, if that leak turns out to be fake, I'll be really shocked.
Takamaru: Completes the Famicom Four, unique retro newcomer, etc.
Krystal: I very unique choice with a decent amount of requests, which Sakurai knows about this time.
Saki: Well, Little Mac got promoted, so why not add another? He was the most fleshed out assist in Brawl as well. Mostly a "placeholder" slot.
Chrom: Don't care about Fire Emblem anymore, you either get yelled at for having a risky choice, or yelled at for the too safe choice, so just pretend whoever you personally want is there instead of Chrom.
Lip: See the many reasons I've listed before on how she's got a good shot. Really hoping she gets in this time.
Pac-Man: Some people do like him, as surprising as that is. Very possible that he'll be the "Snake" of this game.

I'm not saying anything on my reasons for Ridley, Miis however, I cannot fathom how anyone would want this thing playable, it's not even a character, it's ugly, a self-insert avatar, probably the only thing you'd see online, people want it to be one of those "use your mii then pick an already existing characters moveset" which would make them flood online even more, there are far better and important characters that could easily go over Miis, Smash is a cross-over for actual video game characters, as much as I hate Ridley, I'd rather see it over Miis, plus the roster is limited, what if Miis were put in over your favourite character? (Don't you dare say Miis are your favourite character) plus I just have a biased opinion on Miis.

tl;dr my biased opinion is Miis don't deserve because they're just ugly self-inserts that everyone would use. (they're not even a character, they're an avatar)

Good Roster. Okay Size, that's generally reasonable for 48. On your thoughts on some of your newcomers, I can mostly see them coming in. This roster is intruiging, I applaud your boldness with Saki, even if he is a placeholder.

Words bloody well said. I don't really care about Fire Emblem as much anywhere, and people really do need to get over it. I expect Chrom or Lucina and I don't really see it as a big deal no matter which we get.

I couldn't possibly be more satisfied than if we got this roster.

Dare I ask where you got the K. Rool image, or if you still have it? I've seen versions of it before, but certainly not this clear and saturated, looks really great.

I think the only reason a Mii would possibly get in is because of the whole "We're also trying to play to left field concept."
Miis are attempts to match up right field (hardcore, more serious Nintendo gamers) with left field (casual consumers won over by the Wii) that ended up being a severely left field play. Most casual focused left field games have Miis.

This given, 90% of us here would not be exactly pleased at the playable status of a Mii. Though many other left field consumers would likely be a little pleased.

I would favor Dixie over Krystal, but besides that, your roster is amazing. Congrats!

As I said, I had Dixie on it before, alongside Krystal. Though some people seem to think it's impossible to get more than one DK character at a time.

This was the original roster, I just swapped Dixie out for Saki in the new one.

Well, the only character I'd want added to JamesDNaux's roster is Isaac.

Well Saki is a placeholder, so you can swap him out for anyone, Isaac included. Isaac was the first one that came to mind, but I ended up going with Saki since he's the "underdog" of the two.

I dont know if this was mentioned yet but since all newcomers reveald so far have had there own respective stages maybe the Pyro Sphere Stage is Ridleys. This kinda makes sense since the boxing ring was teased as long as that stage and It really dosent seem right to hype a stage hazard boss unless there is more to that gimmick than we know.

Some people like the idea of playing as themselves (or someone else), some people like the idea of a customizable character. That's basically all there is to wanting Mii's. I don't want Mii's and I don't think they will be in because I don't think Nintendo would allow it, and I don't think it's a character that Sakurai would be interested in including.

Just that I didn't find his concept to be any good in the slightest and the character's mechanics really hindered the Pokemon from being effective, and that ESPECIALLY goes double for Ivysaur. That and Zoroark's illusion just does it way more for me than PT ever could. I mean c'mon, a character like Shang Tsung would work perfectly.

Well, I guess you can also call it personal bias, but she has always been my favourite character from the series since I played Shadow Dragon. Now mind you even though I'm not that big of a Fire Emblem fan, I'd like something that will show people that aren't into Fire Emblem that the characters are capable of actually wielding something other than swords (WOAH!).

If I were Sakurai and people are expecting but not wanting Miis as playable characters (even though many people outside of Smash communities genuinely like Miis)... and I wanted to do something left-field, I would have added the Wandering Heroes... this way, casual players are happy with cat and dog Miis... and Smash fans are happy they didn't get penis-faced and Hitler Miis.

It would take far too much effort, and would probably be broken. I always thought it would be cool if, for instance, if Kirby copied Link and then used his Cutter, it would use the Master Sword but still function exactly the same, just a nice aesthetic swap. And things like Dedede's or the Ice Climber's hammers on Kirby's side B if he copies them, it'd still work exactly like his normal side B, just with a new skin.

WFT is Left Field, as stated. But we can get more than one leftie, eh?
Miis can cover the whole field, as I said.
It's that customizable usable Miis are specifically the most left field possible.
