Okay so. im going to not try and make this to long or serious, but i am asking for a serious change. i know im leaving but, this is my opinion.

people are unconsciously biased, and no matter what you do, they will not want to make themselves go into a ****y position. i think at our local tournaments, or at least in NJ/NY we have way to much people influencing how the bracket is done, complaining, ect. EVERYONE INCLUDING MYSELF IS GUILTY OF THIS.

i feel that, there are 2 options.

1) the TO picks out 1-3 other people from different crews/regions/w.e thats helps him seed. and they are the ONLY PEOPLE that look at the bracket. THAT IS IT. if you have a crew mate, or a friend you" play to much" you can request that they change it, our TOs are pretty chill and im
sure they will make an effort

2) do some basic, pro-intermediate-lowlevel seeding on tio, and make it RANDOM.

once the bracket is out. its DONE. no refunds because you dont like playing adhd round 2.

its annoying seeing like 432804732847 at the computer, and im sure the TOs are even more annoyed

Top 4 seeds are easy. From there expert, intermediate, beginner at small tournies. Any and all other tournies MUST (MUST) use open into pro brackets. It's not hard at all. You play quick brackets (and pros can show up later (say...top 6 or so). Then you seed PURELY on results, and go from there.

EDIT: LARGE tournies should use pools into open into pro.

I refuse to fight the same people over and over and over. I was going to face Orion round two in MA after playing him in tournament literally eight times already. No way. I'd rather have ADHD or Fatal or Atomsk and even requested one of them over him despite having a lower chance of winning.

Brackets are easy to seed. People are just n00bs.

thats fine, i agree with you based on shadows blog everyone keeps playing the same people. my point is that, theres like 2910471874 people seeding the bracket and its pointless. people can request to the TOs not to play crew mates before round 3 or w/e

also, cheeses idea on pro bracket is pretty interesting. adhd/anti are already cocky enough though -.-

i agree with this and orion. i think they did seeding this way at Kotc the 1 JG hosted a couple weeks ago from what i saw and it turned out good.

Playing somebody over and over again is uncontrollable on the TO's part.
It's not the TO's fault you play the same person alot.
I agree with Orion that it really give's TO's fit having to redo the bracket every tourney.
Not fair to them who work all day on making sure the tourney runs smoothly.

Agreed with Orion, though idk how the seeding outside of mine is normally done for standard tournies.

Personally at my standard events I don't let ANYONE look at the brackets until I'm done with my initial revision.

I use Tio's "manual" seeding option. I hand pick the top 4-8 seeds depending on the size of the tourney, then organize everyone else into Expert Intermediate and Beginner, and try to even out the numbers in each as much as possible (taking into account how many ordered seeds there are, which are technically considered expert level so to say). The rest from there on out is random.

I take a look at the bracket, see if there's any problems and change them. If people bug me in the middle of stuff I'm notorious for just closing my laptop screen whenever people get close lol. After I'm done my "release candidate" of the bracket, I call over like 2 other players, typically one PA and one or two NJ players at my events (since my events are predominantly PA and NJ attendance), and get their approval of the bracket, and see if they think anything should be changed.

It always results in a great bracket, there's never been anything really wrong with them. Sometimes there are some really awkward events where seeding can get ****ed due to imbalance of good and bad players, and imbalance of regional attendance. The only one recent example that sticks out to me is Mega Fusion 2, where there were things like round 2 me vs Orion while Xzax vs Fury is going on. Didn't really make sense, but the spread of skill and region attendance was so incredibly awkward to work out 100% correctly.

It's their fault if we are playing round two or three every tournament, dude...

inui we had the brackets finished and Bizkit didn't even know you made changes to the bracket, bracket tampering is pretty lame. regardless of how many times you have fought orion you shouldn't screw over the best player in a region for your likings IMO

You're better than Orion and have a positive record against him. You lost in an upset, you weren't screwed over at all. You still got what you would have placed regardless since you typically lose to Kool Aid and always lose to Atomsk and ADHD.

fatal i love you, and dont take this personally but tbh i could care less what you have to say because

A, this is not a thread for everyone to just ***** and whine. to Everyone, not just fatal you can do that **** in your own ****ing regional thread.

B, the bracket you made at the tournament i went to in NE was SOOOOO extremely biased for you. you have no right to complain when you do **** like this

http://img132.imageshack.us/i/singles.gif/

for anyone looking, luigi pro is koolaid

youre side of the bracket is literally FREE for you in comparison

fatal, bizkit, bloodcross

versus

orion, koolaid, greenace, prawn, dazwa, pelca

my seed was insulting. you dont see me *****ing in threads. >_> you placed fine anyway, so if your mad you had to play me early just make sure you beat me next time.

also, @ inui. you **** with brackets when you should all the time. like, when there is a tournament you literally bogard your way to the TO screen like youre the king and make sure you play who you want to play wherever. idc if the brackets you make are fair or not, that **** shouldnt be allowed and TOs need to tell people to gtfo

The only main problem I see in that bracket is that prawn should have been switched with like missouri watson or something.

wait how is my bracket biased at all?

my side- Me Bizkit Bloodcross

your side, koolaid, orion, daz

Green ace quit and came to this this tournament for lolz, why you complaining about him?

both watkins and duke are better than prawn

I have 1st seed.

wheres the problem?

I also had Bizkit and Dazwa go over the bracket after it was made and it was declared fair. So I don't know why you have a problem with it

and the issue here was editing the TO's bracket after he had finished making it.

even if you drop prawn and green ace pelca had been placing Really high at the time. you only had to play vs like, 1 legit player to get to WFs >.> everyone had to play like 2 if they wanted a shot lmao

either way, mad off topic.

chibo youre free <333

NAMESEARCHHHHHHH.

There's always gunna probably be a problem with seeding issues at stacked tourneys. Btw, I started seeding with Doom, but then Inui came over and changed some things. Then Doom changed some things...then things just kept changing. It was like no matter what they did one of them complained. I started singles with the bracket the way it was after a few changes, but things kept getting switched for the top seeds while I was calling first round matches, which shouldn't have happened without telling me.

Regardless, next time I think ALL of you should be helping with the seeding at the same time WHILE we're doing seeding, and once singles starts nothing changes. I definitely wanted 1-2 NJ players to help with their players seeding, but for NE Fatal is the only one who usually checks with me and he usually walks away too fast before it's done. So that was probably part of the problem having NJ biased seeding.

All this is true but the most annoying thing is people complaining about playing some one they drove to the tourny with?
And TO's actually change the bracket to avoid that, wtf, who cares if yall came to the tourny together...n!ggas these days

Then I won't enter, since the only seeding I trust to not be ******** is my own.
