I have to work Friday until late, so we won't be able to go until the day of. Be at Chris' around 10ish Saturday morning. If you aren't there when we're ready to leave, you lose out on a ride. We're leaving at 11am at the latest, but I'd like to leave earlier than that so we can get something to eat before registration. As for coming home, I'm pretty sure we are going to be leaving that night.

Kira, did you find out if you work that day or not?

Why not make singles 5$ each too? Cause you aren't going to win that either. If singles is X amount of dollars, Doubles should be double that, seeing as two people are playing. Two halfs of a person doesn't make a doubles team.

People will ***** about any price lol. Making the price 10$ per person in doubles just makes more sense imo.

I didn't mind the 15$ entry fee for both events in Melee. 10$ is fine for Brawl. Most people want a decent entry fee cause they want to win more money so the trip is worth it. 5$ entry doesn't give too big of pots.

5$ or 10$ is cool with me. If it's $10 you should pay out to 4th in singles, just sayin since you can afford to with the extra money and it's nice to give that 4th place guy his entrance fee back at least.

I personally don't care what the fee is cause smash has never been about the money for me. It's about the people. Which is another reason I support paying out to more places then just top 3. It makes a lot more people happy and can encourage players to come back next time. At the tournaments I hosted, we payed out to 5th every tourney. Entrance was 10$ an event with a few 1-3$ side tourneys on the Friday before.

I'm not saying anyone has to do it my way, just a suggestion since this scene is pretty tightly knit and we can do things like that. :3

Plus its not going to be a huge tourney why are people going to spend $20 just like that, and the Tuscon guys always come to our tourneys that have a total of $15 entries. So yea just keep it the same especially if it makes more people play that's the point. We are all friends here and there shouldn't be money driven competitions to see who's better, so entries shouldn't matter if you want to improve or win.
