So I've been thinking about this whole Church venue thing... is it possible at all to change the venue to the UofA TV Lounge, it's free space so you wouldn't have to charge a venue fee (unless you still wanted to), there are already 4 TVs in the lounge with lots of room for more setups, lots of different places to eat at that are very close by.

And probably most importantly it's religion neutral.

The fact that we are having a tourney in a church may cause some people other than myself to not show up at all, due to beliefs/lifestyles. It doesn't even have to do with the no cussing rule.

We had a Melee tourney there about three weeks ago, and we have quite a few smashfests there so it doable. We just need someone with a Cat Card to get in initially, after that we can just let people in when they knock on the door.

At least consider it.

Darklink... I'm also Jewish.

Anyways...
The Church venue is going to be in the Gym xDD

There won't be anything Churchy about it... it is just a big space that I am permitted to use.
I couldn't get adults to help me with another venue, forcing me to not host a tourney at all.

So sorry bro, another place isn't an option. But don't worry, nothing churchy will be happening. It's a gym.

1. If there was anyone with a dispute about playing in or around church premises, they probably would have said something about it by now. If they haven't I would repectfully request they say so now so we can know if anyone (otherwise expected) won't be showing up. (I sound like a TO :p. Apologies)

2. If any new guys or Tucson casuals we don't know about were discouraged by the name with 'church' in it, you could just change the name to like..... "Let There Be Smash" or something, lol

3. On a different note: a major consideration I forgot about till now is how long they're going to allow us to smash there. When are they planning on kicking us out?

Sounds good Jane.

And all right I'll change the name.

Derp, it was planned to be from 1:30 to 6:30, so if the actual tourney goes longer it will be fine, but friendlies after probably will be cut short.

no i actually don't think that's really close to enough time given standard AZ Brawl tournament settings

then again, it also depends on how many people show up

JUST SAYING, in the settings of the usual AZ brawl tourney (20-30 people with like, five setups) you DEFINITELY won't finish in that amount of time. They usually run from 1 PM til about 10 or 11.

HOWEVER, you CAN get it done in time if...

not many people show up, that significantly cuts the amount of time the tournament will take. It also depends on if you want to use pools for elimination or purely for seeding purposes (it also depends on how many people you want per pool etc etc). There's also the option of not using pools at all.

if you have enough TVs (i'd probably say the amount of people going divided by two or three is a perfect number, but some tournaments get by with even less than that, but efficiency is sacrificed. Setups = speed and satisfaction)

Lol.
You people.

Then five hours isn't enough. I'll make note.
And make sure it finishes.

People I need setups.

I cannot gaurantee it, but Tommy generally brings a full setup wherever he smashes

EDIT: Cereal, eh?

Well, we've certainly never discussed the surely uncontentious prospect of cereal supremacy before..........

Cereal Supremacy?
You mean to everything correct?
If that is so... you are one smart man.

Cheerios are like wood. Wood with honey is hardly better.

As usual, Duffy knows where it's at :)

Holy ****, Tommy, that cereal looks ****. I wish they still made it. ;-;

Also, Slepten obviously has no taste buds, Derp is vastly undereducated, Duffy has spent too much time with Derp, Tommy and I still have the best taste in cereal, and Bryce's opinion would be totally legitimate if waffle crisp wasn't at the top.

and yummy is fat

Maybe not.
I love Raisin Bran as well.
But I mix my cereals, at least 4 different types per bowl.

Woah, really? I looked it up on wiki and it said they are from 1997. :o If they still make them, then me and you are sharing a box in Tucson. No questions/homo.
