Celebrity Stories?

So a few days ago I was working at my job as a cashier at ****'s Sporting Goods. For living in the Metro Detroit area, you wouldn't really expect any "celebrities" to be present.

It turns out that Chauncey Billups of the Detroit Pistons decides to enter the store on that particular day. If anyone wonders, he purchased jumpropes and candy for his daughters, who were accompanying him. He unfortunately did not come into my line, which was rather busy, but I made a point to tell him "have a nice day" as he left the store.

Sad thing is, I would have to say that is my first "celebrity experience." Maybe it's just I don't get out much, or maybe Michigan is just that desolate of a place.



Anyway, which celebrities have you all seen, met, said hi to, etc? Any interesting stories out there?

I was very lucky to meet Queen Elizabeth II for a brief moment, which I thought was pretty awesome.

Last night my friend was waitressing somewhere and according to her "Ash" from Hustle winked at her. And probably stole her wallet whilst he was at it

Some of my friends and I went on a school field trip to Wilmington, North Carolina, and supposedly these two girls met Omar Gooding! My friend also met Racheal Ray because her little bro, who has cerebral palsy, LOVES her.

I have never met a celebrity. But my parents told me about this time when they met James Doohan, the guy who played "Scotty" on Star Trek, at a winery when they were younger. Man, I wish I could have been there.

When me and my friends saw Les Dennis, we started saying his name and he just ran away lol. I actually had a chat with Salomon Kalou and shook his hand and Estelle I saw when she was doing a promotion.

I've met George Lopez at Atlanta airports. Shook his hand and he gave me an autograph

I'm not sure if this counts but my dad took me and my step-mom to some Children's Reading dinner party. Jeb Bush, George H.W. Bush, and Barbara Bush were there. I talked with Jeb for about 5 minutes and I got an autographed biography of George from her, but I never had a chance to meet George himself...

I've met Jake Gyllenhal(or however you spell it)and Lance Armstrong. That was an interesting night.

I've also met Alton Brown at a book signing. That was kind of funny, because if my boyfriend were to be gay for anyone, it'd be Alton Brown, so we went mostly for my boyfriend. I'm normally a shy person, yet I was the one actually taking while my boyfriend went into awkward/embarrassed mode.

I've met a couple. Vic Mignogna (Full Metal Alchemist), Maki Murakami (Gravitation), Yoshiki (X Japan)... I think that's about it.

• An uncle of mine was mayor for a while in my parent's hometown San Miguel de Allende, in Guanajuato state in Mexico.
• I met Al Gore when I was four (I think) when he went to Buenos Aires. I tried giving him my belt but he just kept giving it back. Meanie.
• I've shook hands with George Bush when he went to Monterrey (Mexico), I had a second opportunity to in Vienna but I was too lazy to go to all that scandal (and it is a scandal to do so, not worth it).

When I was a little kid, my father sister and I drove through Colorado and Wyoming on a summer road trip. My dad had an old Navy buddy who lived outside of Cheyenne that was the first cousin of singer Sarah McLachlan. He managed to get us backstage after a tournament she had at Red Rock in Colorado. I managed to grab one of those beach balls that people bat around and got her to sign it for me

Also, my Dad and sister say that we baked her some home made cookies and that I ate them all before we could give them to her... I was a fat little kid

I also met Sully from Godsmack twice- both times at the Texas Roadhouse! (thats a restaurant, I don't know if it's local or not.) I got a picture with him. I also met Spider-man once

the nick lachey person from 98 degree, the one that married Ashley Simpson was at our local K-mart, he was filming high school musical the reality show. i will be in it with him. even though i am just walking around in the back ground. he is way friggen short to. he is like 5'8'' and his body guard is like 6'5'' and four hundred pounds. he is a beast.

Oscar De La Hoya - Met him at a party in a hotel located in California. Can't recall the name....I think it was the Ritz or something along those lines. Very nice person and of course very handsome too. :blush:
I got him to take a picture with me. Yay.

John Elway - Met him at a signing session. He was my dad's favorite quarterback. My favorite quarterback has always been Peyton Manning (no offense Cowboy fans), but it was still an honor to meet him.

Hillary Clinton - She came to my hometown of El Paso for a rally during her campaign against Barack Obama. Got an autograph and a picture with her. Score!

Michelle Obama - I went to New Mexico to hear her speak. Very bright woman, but security was tight and couldn't approach her when she was finished. So close and yet so far.

Shannon Elizabeth & Joey Fatone - Saw them both at Johnny Rocket's in Hollywood, California and asked the two for an autograph. Got one, then they fled 15 minutes later. Their paparazzi sense was tingling.

Dave Navarro - It was during Summer. I was attending a parliamentary debate camp in Cali. Some of my friends had decided to head off to Hollywood to check out the scenes and catch a breather after a series of non-stop practice rounds and lessons. I joined them. We parked the car, strolled around and just as one of my friends was dissing Dave Navarro, out he comes in what had to be a black jeep. He gave us a nasty stare and tossed a cig to the ground, then he blasted down the street like a bat out of hell from a parking complex. Needless to say, he had overheard the conversation considering he was about 5 feet away from the exit with windows down >_<. My dear lesbo friend Alexis laughed away at our pal who had opened his mouth at the worst possible time. He kicked himself for it the rest of the night. We had a blast pouring salt on his wounds as we traveled along the walk of fame and on our way to a porno shop ending in a trip to a tattoo parlor where Alexis got a tongue piercing.
