Nah let's just use the New Prince of Tennis for PRs; It has some of the better characters :awesome:

I was surprised that they actually started putting out episodes for the NPoT. I thought it was just like a side-manga that the artist did in their spare time since it's not published weekly.

Yea I see what u mean but I'm happy they did.
I don't get why the manga industry sometimes just quits on anime that is behind successful manga.
Like Hitman Reborn for example. Luckily for that, the manga looks awesome. But for example, prince of tennis I would prefer to watch the anime. It's harder to experience sports in manga than anime.

prince of tennis anime is okay. Though some of the shots are just really stupidly impossible, like that silly air master-like shot where it spins so hard that he serves the ball and it flies back into his hand.
lots of good characters though.

I can't think of one sports anime that is realistic Waldorf haha ;)
I think what you are supposed to learn from it is their character/drive/passion. And not how to play the sport haha

I think more smashers need to watch anime and manga. Then we wouldn't have a community who just johns and after apex talks about how they didn't practice(so many smashers/top level smashers included talked about how they didn't practice) for it lol.
Why would u not practice for the biggest tourney in the world. That is not an excuse but just shows about yer character.

I was thinking the other day about why the halo community isn't full of johners and instead is just a community of trash talkers. I realized in halo everyone is the same character. So if u mess up it is purely on yer individual skill. Everyone has the same tools at hand. But in Smash u have stages and and different characters. There are too many variables so people can make excuses for their losses(like mk) instead of just trying to advance their personal game.

If I watch/read CardCaptor Sakura, will I become better at Brawl? Or will I sit there trying to cast magic spells with a toy wand?

Alright, I'm going to go watch lots of Cardcaptor Sakura. I'll watch Pokemon, too, so that I can be the very best.

Or I could watch Evangelion, because the characters there never give up. Especially Shinji. I mean, I've never seen him act depressed or quit anything.

Although I suppose .hack//Sign would be the most relevant to Melee, given that it's also about a video game.

EDIT: Forget all that, I'm just going to watch Digimon Tamers. Nothing makes you want to keep trying more than the last arc.

Hajime no Ippo is about boxing and is one of the best anime/mangas ever imo also slam dunk is amazing too for basketball... It is actually one of the most hilarious mangas i read.

As mekos said... It isnt completely about the sport Like in Ippo it is about the character development and his drive to be the best that attracts me...

LOL at the naruto reference... INHERIT THE WILL OF FIRE! well that did sound cool but it doesnt fit. You are trying to tell him to have balls to face MK and have drive to improve with his character.... while that takes a strong will the WILL of FIRE is the will to Protect those close to you and to protect the future lol so doesnt really fit there
