this is a good point bengalsRZ, ive been sticking to random stage for a long time, holding on to the old-school roots. but i believe its time for a change

Official rule change - Stage Striking is now in effect!

i dont feel like writing out the rules of it though. anywhere i can just copy/paste them?

Awesome, good decision.

Stole this from AiB ladder and made a few modifications so it makes sense for an actual tourney:

"Stage striking will be used to select the first stage. One of the players starts by choosing a stage from the neutrals list to remove from consideration for the first round. The other player then chooses two stages to remove from consideration for the first round. The player who struck the first stage then eliminates one of the two remaining stages from consideration, and the first round is played on the last remaining stage."

c3 isn't that bad. it's no where near as good as it used to be, but it's still a comfortable place. not nearly as good as gamehaven though.
