Listen here. Vinyl may or may not be Town, but that doesn't mean he's operating in Town's best interest. You didn't even question it or make sure that he knew what he was doing, you just rolled with it.

Secondly, I'm reading Vinyl as something of a toss up. Where's the strong town read coming from?

Bardull, the fact that you think scum vinyl would be this nonchalant or that he would work up to some sort of inane gambit in this fashion as scum , or post in the manner or with the intent which he seems to be, means you need to take a closer look at vinyl, specifically how he has interacted with other slots this game.

If you want me to explain it further i can, but just go look at utrik'd and it should be obvious that vinyl isn't scum with his play thus far

I've examined Vinyl. Hell, Vinyl was like "YO LETS BUDDY" right out in the open to me, I've interacted with him enough to have a legitimate stance. However, I'm still hesitant to give him the pass because he has the tendency to do things that would normally seem scummy, but it runs more along the lines of inexperienced Vinyl.

Either way, I'm fine with the flavor claim shenanigans for the time being. Scum have safe claims however, so I'm slightly at odds as to how Vinyl intends to get his results. This is one of the core reasons why jumping along Vinyl's mass claim shizzle was ********.

honestly, if you want a wifom opinion, his play right now lines up pretty well with his play as doc in Breaking Bad mafia. If you want to know why vinyl isn't scum , here's something I posted elsewhere on how to read vinyl scum in terms of partners and alike.

Remember how Vinyl was with >mfw in Utrik'd ? That's much more indicative of how vinyl treats his scum partners in my experience , he also does similar with Badwulf in the newbie where they were scum together.

I guess i'd sum it up as he light busses them / will call them scum in some fashion or refuse to move them beyond null-scum. He'll also make a point of semi-avoiding them and will have interactions with them were they read as off in comparison to how he regularly interacts with slots (in utrik'd he had many interactions for the sake of interaction for example)
but when he interacted with >mfw you got the feeling vinyl was sitting on him in some fashion

Scum may or may not have abilities that involve flavor. Also, scum have the opportunity to make up safe claims if they are the last to claim (but chances are they already have safe claims anyway. Still, they can make more feasible safe claims as a result if they so desired.)

alright bardull, lets roll with that idea for a second explain some things to me:
1) what does vinyl gain as scum off a flavor claim ?
2) clearly he wants BSP / JD to claim moreso, so if BSP's his partner , why bus now or at all ?
3) why would scum vinyl pass on JD, who has been todays flavor dejour, he could have voted on him and got him, why wouldn't he do that ?
4) how does vinyl make sense with Ryu ?

also, it's not semantics, you have an issue with me following vinyl clearly , i'm telling you why i felt the need to follow him. You seem to think i'm giving him a pass, which is inaccurate , i'm saying with how he has played so far i don't read him as scum and therefore see no issue following him.

I'm asking you, if your so unsure about vinyl, talk to me about him and tell me what gives you pause specifically, regardless of how damning vinyl's results may or may not be ? Explain to me how / why i'm possibly reading him wrong.
