If you hit with the tip of the shine, you can usually start a combo. Closer, though, and they'll be flung too far back. It just mixes things up, and sometimes gives you a short combo to work with.

uh hello marth, fox, falco, wolf zelda and everyone else... if u dont space recovery witht hem u get punished as it should be but in diddys defense i think his recovery is worse then fox and donkey kong. hehI very strongly agree with the complaint involving Diddy. There is no reason why he should be the only character that has to time his recovery perfectly just to grab onto the ledge.
The shine wins matches, if most of you can't see it now you will in time. There is no reason to ever use it close enough to where you can't start a combo, that is just dumb. It opens to many doors for falco. Balancing a game out is one thing, changing a move to the point where it is barely recognizable is another thing...and making that move as powerful as this one is a whooooole 'nother thing. If you hit with the tip of the shine, you can usually start a combo. Exactly. Its one thing to have a bad recovery, but Diddy's is a joke. Bad spacing should result in being punished, not being murdered by the ledge. Diddy may need his recovery to be nerfed, but not fixing a glitch in one of our codes is not the way to do it.diddy can't recover under the stage ever, even if you hit the edge without exploding you should be edge guarded/hogged or gimped under the stage from massive start up if your vs'ing anyone decent, it's just an ugly mess at the moment. Nerf his recovery but not like this, you could take away being able to use both B-> and UP B in succesion as a tradeoff.
