Smash Journeyman
HEY! YOU GUYS WANNA GET BACK ON TOPIC?
Seriously this is about the link between Brawl and Politics and Obama, not whether or not he is a terrorist, which he is not so shut up about it!!! Jesus some people are dumb...
Yesterday on CNN there was a clip of Presidential Candidate Sen. Barack Obama relaxing and taking a break form the campaign trail. Mr. Obama mentioned in the past that he enjoyed video games and this video confirmed that h has good taste. Thats right, Barack had on his tour bus a copy of Super Smash Brothers Brawl. If this man did not already have my support he just earned it. If you're not completely sold because of this let me suggest this. A brawl-off between Hillary and Obama for the Democratic nomination... just imagine the epicness. You might just want to discuss that...
Edit: I didn't see the video on CNN.com, I saw it live on CNN so I can't tell you the name... sorry guys, but trust me, it was EPIC!
This also brings another topic to the forefront though. More and more the youth of America are becoming involved in the political system and with them comes their trends and ideas, including games such as Super Smash Brothers. I began to think about the crossovers between politics and brawl and you would be surprised what I came up with. Therefore if the people in this thread so please I will be discussing on a regular basis, either in this thread or in one created in a more appropriate forum the growing crossovers between Brawl and the world at large, creating a new wave of information, Brawlitics.
Here's a sample of themes to be discussed:
Recently, tensions between China and Western Countries has been greatly escalating, presenting a problem, many of the games that we know and love are printed and produced in China, a country that some Right Wingers are suggesting that western countries place an embargo on. If something of that kind does happen what is the possibility that Japan either follows us into the endeavor or stands by China making buying a video games, an affair of bootlegging. Thoughts?
Now that particular one was about video games in general but most are much more Brawl oriented such as anti-west sentiment in Mother games and stages as well as how certain brawl vidoe game characters have been helping children in war-tirn countries...
I'm sure that this idea will soon fail into oblivion as even I am not a huge fan, but I thought that I would put it out there just to hear your thoughts.
