I think so. The skull feels a little off, but it just might be that the texture needs to be updated (the bluish green color should extend closer to his nose). Good work so far definitely.

Angle of the ears looks better, but you should probably keep them a bit shorter.

If possible you should probably just shorten his entire face down. Retract his jaw a bit and pull his nose back a bit. His mouth/face aren't quite as long as Charizard's. The back of his head should also blend smoothly into his back, with no bulging or anything like that. Try and blend his legs into his body as much as possible as well, and maybe lower his knees too. The neck appears to be bulging a bit too much in the throat area. I know you were likely just trying to get rid of Charizard's long, thin neck, but it's making him look a bit awkward, and instead of bulging the throat you should bulge the neck out in the back more (which goes along with blending his back into the back of his head).

And if in any way possible, I'd recommend not vertexing the flames on his back and trying to figure out some sort of fire effect you can enable (has anyone done that yet?) or just vertexing his wings into spiky nubs textured like fire (so it doesn't look too bad when he's jumping in the air and gliding and all of that).

All of this is probably pretty difficult and maybe not even possible by vertexing D: but those are my suggestions.

I can't do anything with the wings without them exploding, so all possibility of the wings being flame are out. Also, you would need PSA to move the fire, which I'm not very good with.

But here's what he's looking like right now.

I think it'll be hard to judge short-face until he's seen with the game's shading.

I do think it would work better though, so long as the neck has some adjustments.

Which, I was going to try and explain again, but I just made a mockup picture instead :p



Tail obviously still needs to be added in some form of little spiky hair sticking out in a bundle.

And if possible, I'd try and make the flame-neck-ring a lot more thin. I understand the limited vertices though.

Fixed up the tail section, slimmed the neck, and (hopefully) flowed the body into the neck perfectly.

Edit:



slimmed the fire, but this is pushing it, any more and it'll glitch like a missingno.

Yeah they typically make the flames perpendicular to his body.

Little more critiques to the nose: perhaps pull his upper lip up a tiny bit, to make his nose/snout/upper-mouth-area a little more pointy. I'd try and get rid of that little hump on his head (to the top-left of his eye) and smooth it out a bit.

I don't know if you're doing texture right now either, but the blue part shouldn't wrap under his chin and just be a straight line down his back (like on the toy :p ).


Nice work though. Great, timely updates so far.

I feel the timely updates help the hacker figure out what the modders want, as opposed to them just taking what's given to them.



Anyway, longer, pointier snout, adjusted flames. (I have a guy doing the textures for me.)

I've said it once, I'll say it a million times:

This will be one slot, and it will ALWAYS be one slot. I do not, will not, and have never thought of using PSA.

IveIve run into a couple probelms, his ears wont go through properly, but they are just baciscly lucarios ears tilted back, so i need to know how to do the one slot animationg to tilt back his ears. if someone could let me know asap.

I also need to do it for his dread locks, they wont allow me to stretch them that far, but i can just shape the vertices and then scale the bone in brawlbox, but again i need the one slot animation thingy

otherwise he is basicly ready to go.


edit: nvm it looks like crap with animation edits



ah well another one bites the dust
does this mean your not working on zoroark anymore. :(

I'm glad my texture inspired someone to make a vertex of Goomba . That's only your second vertex so far right? I'm honored. Keep up the good work :). I just learned how to vertex myself and might try my own version sometime. I'm Aafyre on Kitty Corp if you're wondering.

I recently finished a Magus (over Ganondorf) and Eclair (over Zero Suit Samus) vertex. They're up on Brawl Vault if anyone is interested.






Right now, I'm working on Pimple (from Battletoads) over Donkey Kong. I'm going to try Xemnas (Kingdom Hearts 2) over both Link and Marth and see which one comes out better.

That's only Zoroaks arms and legs... but the point is it works... I'll fix the rest of the polygons later....
Any future edits you do, I can fix them up for you :)
