darn, this one really is close o.O
it's 52-51 for Skull Kid now.

I voted for Skull Kid, mainly because I think that is the most interesting character out of those two.

I would really love for both characters to be in. The movesets and play styles of a wind mage or a tentacle-empowered skull kid both excite me...

Ended up rooting for Skull Kid though. Majora's Mask could actually be my favorite Zelda game (though I haven't got very far in TP yet), and that's in large part due to the story/Skull Kid.

considering how that isn't even Vaati's real form, that could easily implement a bodacious final Smash.

Majora's mask lacks the cool-looking characters that some of the other games have

Skull Kid's final smash = a big grinning moon that no one can stop. It'll use the Wii's internal clock to fall in three days. If you're playing brawl at that exact time in three days, kiss your save file goodbye.

I want Skull Kid back. That entire game was more inventive than any other Zelda title, with the possible exclusion of WW. Hopefully at E3 we'll hear something about the new Zelda. As far as continuity goes, we don't know the average lifespan of a skull kid, so the Skull Kid could have survived into the TP era if they deem it necessary. Brawl can draw from characters going backward, or boost them going forward. Not that I don't like Vaati--it's just that his games don't fit as well into the general timeline.

But Tingle, I sincerely believe, has a better shot than either. The only thing holding him back is the Balloon Fighter, which contends for the "Balloon-based" spot on the roster. Here's to that 8-bit hero. Japan, you frighten me.

looking at your sig, it looks like none of those characters have a chance, (no offense)
but the one thing that you got wrong is skull kid is in TP.

The problem with Vatti is that he is not definitive or as well known as skull kid, and I think Skull Kid could be a much more interesting charachter.
What? How is Skull Kid more well known then Vaati; ESPECIALLY considering the Skull Kid we're talking about was in game that was about 8 years ago. Vaati has been in more recent games, so I suspect players, particularly the newer players, are more familiar with Vaati.

I had never heard of Vaati before, having never played the handheld zelda games. I think more people know about skull kid, since he's been in every major console zelda game since OoT, being the main villain in MM.

Hey, we learned about this in science class in 7th grade. Your logic for why Skull Kid is more well known is "I've never heard of Vaati, so that means that nobody else has". That, my friend, is a logical fallacy. More specifically, the argument from personal incredulity.

Avid Zelda fans (like me) who have played the handheld games have definitely heard of Vaati. Not only that, we've owned him in the final battle multiple times.

Vatti, Skull kid is been only one game. No TP doesn't count at all... :[

Anyways Vatti is the secondanry villain for the LoZ franchise. It usually has only one big villain so this is good for the LoZ franchise. Plus he is a mage, we need more mage type of fighters in Brawl. Seeing that we got none, and no Gannondorf doesn't count...He is more like a warlock than a mage. Vatti FTW.

Plus Majora was the villain for Majora's Mask not Skull Kid.

Don't give that crap to try getting Vaati to an advantage. Regardless whether you like Vaati or Skull Kid, don't say his game appearances don't count or Skull Kid in Majoras Mask is not Skull Kid. That is ********. State your opinion and leave it there.

Phantom Hourglass comes out in Japan in 2 days. So, hopefully, we can see if Vaati is in it or not. I'm hoping that he is.
