This Tournament is now part of the ROAD TO APEX Series.
That means, the Winner of BiB2 will receive a 100$ stipend for one flight/travel to APEX.

The Stipend goes to the highest placing regional (europe) player that travels to APEX.
So if #1 doesnt go, the stipend will transfer to #2. Thats why I will keep it until the day the person needs it.

I could change the ratios to 40/... if you prefer that, but I dont think I will go over it.
Give me a proper ratio to pay out the Top 8 that starts with 40/..., I might add it instead.

Here the original one, you might work from here and just change it:
35/25/15/10/5/5/2.5/2.5

I remember everyone complaining when I had payouts like that for Dögüsh Smash.
I think it´s completely fine, wouldn´t pay out for 7th place in singles and 5th place in teams though.

I'm not getting greedy at all lol I said the same thing about dogush and got 5th there, with the original payouts i'd probably get more money. theres a 10 % difference for 1st place and 2nd and that is very very small, especially for a tourney this size ( 60-80 ),
I wouldn't mind these payouts if it was a bigger tourney, but paying top 7 for a 60 ppl tourney doesn't make any sense lmao.

im confirmed either way, just typing down what I think xD

I understand you want to pay out to 7th (which I agree with). It promotes more people to go to tournaments and play better because $ is in there reach, and it broadens out the money between players. But the difference between 1st/2nd/3rd needs to be substantial enough to make it like... worth it. While I do think we should spread money, this isn't a charity event this is a competition. The prize difference of 10-15% for 1st is like nothing.

Nobody is asking for a spain payout... but I think you should follow any standard payout. If you really want to make weird payouts THATS FINE. but please post them next time in advance so that people dont book and then feel like they've been cheated. If the payouts where there beforehand I wouldn't say anything.

2nd: 22.5%

Well, as much as I disagree with paying the tops so much more (IMO 1/3 of the pot is already A LOT), it seems to be standard, so I will go with the standard ~

I agree with Orion's post, it's quite normal for first place to get 40-50% of the pot. The APEX stipend could push it towards the lower end of the spectrum, but then the #1 might not even go. I also would have preferred to know about costs earlier btw, but there's nothing too unreasonable there. I wish Melee would at least have the same entrance fee as mid tiers though, since both are side events and it might make Melee less of an afterthought.
