So who in Aus has it?

My copy arrived on monday and the matchups I've had with US people have been terrible on account of absurd lag.

I would love to play with some more local people.

I'm terrible at the game and like to play casually not super harcore pro but the lag has been so bad I'll play anyone, any rules if we have a decent connection.

shaz and cats have it, but they dont seem to be keen on wifi, even if there is little lag, the existent lag in the first place i think is turning them off

Yeah. Lag makes fighting games fail.

Fighting games along with racing games/shooting games are the genres that cannot stand to have lag interfering with multiplayer over the internet mode.
I once tried to play Smash 64k over the net but the lag at times drove mostly everyone crazy. We had 4 player mode team battle and the lag screwed everyone over at times.

Myself, Pat and John from NSW have each gone three way in a JWii and Brawl from Play Asia. We placed the order on the 5th, two days ago, it left Hong Kong last at 10pm last night, and should be here by Monday at the latest.

Are you guys gonna be playing online at all or just locally with each other?

I really want to test how the lag is when played against someone from Aus, rather than America. It might actually be playable.

Hmmm I've been looking on E-bay for American Wiis but most of that is made of fail, they ither want too much or don't want to export (they want to sell it in thier own state). I have tryed looking for people in Vic wanting too sell an American Wii but that dosn't exsist.

It is understandable that it would be laggy playing against people in Perth. It is about 3500 kms from Sydney to Perth.

Playing against others on the East Coast shouldn't be to bad, hopefully.

Does anyone know how well/if at all Wi-Fi works between Australians, on a imported copy?

I played a legit copy from Burwood, Sydney against my friend's "naughty" copy from Gosford last night and it was great. There was technically still lag, I'd estimate about 100ms or so, but it was perfectly playable and you stopped noticing it and adapted to it fine after about ten minutes.

People have ordered copies of Japanese Brawl from overseas. Some might have ordered US Brawl, and US BRawl is out March 9.

I wouldnt mind vs someone in the country. I'v done a match with a freind in Holland. The lag was rather discusting.
