i still say that the people who made ash should make it compatible for extracting the sound files for brawl. i can think of a hundred sound effects i would replace if i could....

but i'm not even sure of the file(s) names that the sound effects data is in...

Do you think the models could be released like the textures are - individually by character? I'm having trouble with the torrent (its apparently being updated now. Hope it works after that.) If anyone plans to release these files for regular download, comment on it.

Sorry, I can try to help but I am fairly sick, I recently have just gotten sick for no reason.

I just got a bad infection or a congenital defect I believe.

Just got seasonal allergies and of course I am ciliac. Recently became allergic to pork as well. Not good times....

[Character Effects] (torrent version)
These are needed to edit characters' effects. Some examples include Link's bombs, Pit's Arrows, Falcon's Pawnch, etc.

These are needed for editing the strap loader screen upon game bootup. The readme included tells you where to get them off of the iso, as well as where to place them on the SD card for SD loader usage.

Trust me, I'm not posting these and you shouldn't either. Ntcompress and textconv (lz77ex is fine) are illegal to distribute, so I might want to remove them.... El Refugio also, as the creator, would not like them posted. Just saying.

Alright, with a royal roll of the eyes, I've removed them. This entire operation is illegal, so I find it really difficult to swallow the idea that keeping this out of the royal flow of downloads is going to make a difference in the slightest.

If Nintendo were to come after anyone for any reason, it wouldn't be so they could use the tweezers of justice to remove those two files from a forum. They would attempt to shut down this entire texture hacking operation in, and of itself.

while anything at any time may be declared illegal, it has only been made known that those files in specifically are illegal, as they use code from the game, i believe. the other apps do not use any copyrighted code and are legal. the only other question is over the legallity of the textures in the first place, the ones being distribute. while it has not been made know if it is believed to be very illegal, the textures are still ripped from the game and some people might not have bought the game. it also would be copyrighted textures people are modifying.

but really, the legallity of everything is determined by the group that has the copyright whenever they see it fit to declare it one or the other. if they find something illegal, you cannot argue against that, without strong reason that nothing of theirs has been used or distributed.

that said. many groups holding copyrights to materials are generally fine with the work being done with it as a whole, as there is no single person responsible for them to prosecute for it to stop. that would be like if every person downloaded a song that they would have to show up in court. which doesn't happen. the main targets groups are after are the sick people trying to profit off of others' work, namely copyrighted material. its one thing to have your work distributed to some random unknown people on the internet without you getting paid, its another for those people to re-distribute it for their own profit...

You may consider adding the MeowMix Kirby-Hat-Pack to your list of downloads. I noticed that it was requested on the page before here.

The MeowMix Guide for editing character effects actually uses the Kirby-Hat-Pack as the example for editing textures... so let that be your guide.

Common5.pac deals with the character selection portraits.

Common3.pac deals with item textures. Thats all you really need to know, the rest deal with veyr random stuff that is not really even found in the game oftentimes (I found a realistic picture of a leaf in one, textures for an unused Kirby hammer, and more in the others, I think they were unused files now for the others).
