I have a question....I've seen people hack the textures of things like Pit's arrows (Made them red). What would character items fall under, and is it possible to edit them. I would love to get my Samus' Charge shot blood red to match this texture I just made.

No you don't. The item textures have to be compressed into common3.pac. I was gonna update it later to do so.

Assist trophy and pokemon ball hacks (I mean the pokemon inside the ball) go inside Item and their name stored on the disc, but the actual items have a different compression. You need to store them into common3.pac for them to work.

To my knowledge, you can't edit pit's arrows and such. If you look at the iso, there's a section for 'effects', and some things like the flames for C. Falcon's Pawnch fall under there. It doesn't seem to work with the SD loader though, maybe Alex can enlighten us.

There are special .pac's that come with the character, these would be how you edit that. I haven't seen Pit's arrows edited but you can edit like Mario's fireball from what I heard.

I don't know, I haven't personally tried. I can check. And I will update the Falco stuff

Add STGEDIT_1.pac, STGEDIT_2.pac, and STGEDIT_3.pac to the stage .pacs list.
They are the .pac files for the Custom Stages. I'm not sure which is which though.
I just found some nice textures for custom stages. Look

StGEDIT_0.pac is the sky one, so I think STGEDIT_1.pac is the mario looking one, and STGEDIT_2.pac is the other one.

The whole purpose of this thread was to help out others. Plus i've looked constantly for the pac files and can't find them anywhere, and i'm probably not the only one. If he can't do it, then I will rip the game, but he hasn't responded.

I doubt ASH will work and I doubt its identical, Melee was much more difficult to texture hack, I don't think they even had them.
