EDIT: Thanks to Smash_Brother and Ryu Puff for making this eaasier to explain.

HE COULD DO IT WITH ALL HIS AERIALS AND DOESN'T NEED FORWARD B TO DO IT OR INITIATE IT

Bowser:
Nair - Yes
Fair - Yes
Dair - No
Bair - Yes
Uair - Yes
SideB- Yes

Every single character in the game could SJR, whether they have a bad SJR is dependant on several things, but regardless everyone could do it.

=====================

SJR: Second Jump Renewal

This isn't a small deal. It's extremely ground breaking for Bowser. From what I've tested thusfar, Bowser, Snake, Ivysaur, Lucario, and Peach probably have the best SJR strategies in Brawl in my opinion.

Changing between Fairs and Klaws has been made even easier, and making a wall with fairs and bairs is absolutely disgusting. But also, his Nair and Uair SJR aren't something to overlook either. In general Bowser's SJR game will shape him into a more valuable contender in Brawl more than even some current Bowser mains could imagine. Try it out yourself and develop more mindgames and strats yourselves.

Bowsah iz 2 goodz. Bowser 4 sessy bish tier.

Wait isn't that just normal claw jumping? Were you doing claw jump > aerial > claw jump > aerial, or just aerial > jump > aerial? Cause when I first learned about claw jumping, I got results similar to that. But if you were cancelling the aerials and not side b to renew your second jump, then I would like to know if the timing is easier that way than with the side b.

I hate to be the rain on a parade, but we've known about this for a while, actually.

It was just being called "Bowser's infinite jump" and we knew about the ability to do aerials during it.

Also, I don't know if calling it similar to the wall of pain is appropriate, since JP's WoP is what it is because she could do it off the ledge and push her foes off the screen with it.

I already used that as part of my strategy with bowser about 4 weeks ago, but i could never make a vid about it. And you beat me to that.
You can also use the Air dodge in the infinite jump, but it is hard to do.

Yeah uh, this was known for Bowczar before the game was even released in America. I use it plenty.

It is interesting to know that Ivysaur can do it too though, thats nifty.
Lol, did you guys seriously only look at the first 3 seconds of the video?

Jesus, this was discovered about 5 days ago. Just watch through the whole video. You could SJR EVERY SINGLE AERIAL, not just SideB. I can't believe you guys jump to conclusions so fast. Of course I know Bowser's Klaw jumps were discovered like forever ago, I've been using it since NA release, lol.

Go on tactics discussion and look up the "Infinite Jump Recovery List Video Thread"(sp). It shows several chars doing it, some better than others.

I watched the whole video, but you still seemed to be using >B in order to initiate the SJR.

Unless I'm mistaken, you DO mean that the SJR can be activated by a Fair, Bair, Uair, right?

And the "for people who can't read" bit isn't going to earn you any friends... :\

It was relatively accurate though, he'd indicated the renewing jumps were being done outside of >B and people just ragged on him about how everyone knew you could use the klaw for it.

I'm trying to say that if the Klaw was deleted from Bowser's moveset and instead his sideB would be him throwing dandilions while signing Cher, he could still SJR with his aerials. And if you rip out the B button with a fork, he could still SJR with his aerials.

And the "can't read" comment is a joke, just like this reply. Lighten up

Woops. Editted, thanks for that.

So he's saying that you can over B at any time during the jump then do the SJR or that the >B timing for the SJR is immensely forgiving?

In either case, I'm pretty sure this was known about Bowser.

So no side B is needed, √.

I'm pretty sure the video opening with side B canceling is what made so many have that reaction.

I work the irony RAILROAD, foo'!

But once again, that video does seem to always use the >B in each jump. I think it's a bad example, from start to finish. Maybe it's the crap quality, but it's hard to see if the >B is being used or not.

No worries. You just didn't have any decent source material to work with, heh.

I think I'm going to take out the original vid on top and replace it with the thread instead exaplaning it.

EDIT: WAAAABAM!! Fixed. Thanks for helping elaborate Smash_Brother and Ryu Puff.

Not bad, not bad
but it's still pretty limited by Bowser's ending lag on arials which force them to be done basically instantly in the jump if you want the SJR. But for Nair which has a hitbox that stays out for a longish time makes it a little better.

It is easier to do with the over b anyways, so what is the point of doing the much harder version?

Well to use the over b one you need to have the aerial end a little before reaching the ground as opposed to having it end as it reaches the ground.

That means if you somehow perfected this, you would have more air time to use your aerials. This would help Fair a lot since it has horrible range.

That being said, I'm not going to bother.

Just the claw ISJR on it's own is too good. It's the sole reason I picked up Bowser lol. Pretty cool that all aerials work with it.

I agree Bowser probably has one of the best potential for using this tactic.

what's the point of SJRing with fair or Bair unless the hitbox comes out? and it didn't seem to.

It seems to me that all this squable is needless, personaly I suck at Smash, but I think that is nice that he could report this, even if it is old to you it is still new to some less experianced people. :)
