The current season of MLP has been the strongest for me thus far, though it does lack one thing and I can't pin down what it is exactly but whatever it is helped make the previous seasons special to me. I still enjoy this show a ton though, and probably will continue to do so as long as the quality doesn't drop drastically or go in a completely unfavorable direction (which was pretty much what happened to Spongebob and The Fairly OddParents).

So sadly true. Those cartoons used to be some of the best out there.

At least Spongebob still gets a few good ones on occasion .....I feel like Fairly Oddparents fell even harder than it ever has when they introduced Sparky....

I honestly stopped watching Spongebob after S7 (That and S6 especially were unbearable save for a few episodes) and I don't even remember when I stopped watching Fairly OddParents. Though by what I can tell, there's some hope for the former, for the latter... yeah, it really needs to just end but we know that's not happening.

Good time to stop watching. Season 8 has an episode named Demolition Doofus. I'm not sure if you've heard of it before, but in my opinion it's the absolute worst thing the writers have ever done to the show, and I don't think they could possibly do anything worse.

I wish they could give FoP a respectable finale and send-off, but at this rate I'd rather they just end and cancel it. I find it hard for them to come back at all after most of the modern episodes.
