Blood Types thread

A week or so ago, I needed to have a blood test for a health check. Unfortunately while I had the blood removed, I ended up passing out due to my fear of needles and blood xD. (I had 6 vials of blood removed though, so it was a lot at once.)

I got the results today about my typing, it was O negative as I expected since my brother was also that blood type. Only thing that sucks is I can only receive this blood, so hopefully I don't get placed into situation where I need blood. :x

Although I can give blood to anyone, so I guess thats a nice thing I can do for someone :3.

Does anyone else know their blood type here? Alot of people probably wouldn't know their blood types though lol.

O is the most common blood =P
and u can donate it to anyone.

as for me. AB+
i can accept all blood (no aids thx)
but only give out my blood too fellow ab+
but since we accept all blood.... i wouldn't have to donate ever =P

O is the most common type, true. O negative not so much, well its about 10% of people who have it. Kinda bummed I can only get one type though lol. Makes it a bit harder to receive blood.

O- is still the third most common blood type in australia lol. not by much though, it's only because of the rarity of rhesus negative all round.

I'm O- too.

Well, I'm not 100% sure that they are; I think they've mentioned it at some point, but I don't really remember.

Also, genes are a funny thing. Even though left-handedness is recessive, my brother is right-handed when both our parents are left-handed

Genes aren't funny, it's science lol. They make perfect sense.

I don't think it has been proven. Your family is living proof that it's most likely not a matter of genetic inheritence. Blood types are most definitely genetically inherited however.

Based on demand of similar blood type and compatibility.
*all are buffer from the existence of O type.
* O+ is higher cause its more preferred transfusion is more common than A-,B-
