Sounds good!I haven't been on my computer for awhile so I've been stuck on mobile, but tomorrow I'll be able to add all the new supporters/movesets.
Thank you so much for adding my moveset to this page!Added the supporters and the Libero Moveset to the list. Just say if I missed anybody and i'll add you on.
Might have to wait a little bit, but thank you for supporting the page! It's cool that this page has possibly more supporters than ToxtricityAdd me to the support list, please!
Both Cinderace and Inteleon would be way better than Rillaboom, so I’m happy with this.
Yeah, I would give Rillaboom a fair try, so I say its between Cinderace, Rillaboom, and Toxtricity.Seems kinda difficult to venture an accurate guess without including biases in order to fill in the space but with that in mind, here are my guesses...
After Byleth's reveal I definitely agree another Pokemon (8th gen) is very likely.
I agree the three Pokemon you listed seem the most likely out of the new ones. Inteleon maybe a starter but thats about all it has going for it. It'd have a unique moveset compared to Greninja, contrary to popular belief, but I think it'd be an annoying one akin to Shiek but with spammy projectiles so I don't forsee it being picked.
Toxtricity could easily offer a unique playstyle and perhaps mechanic and with it being one of the most popular new Pokemon it certainly seems in the realm of possibility.
I don't think you give Rillaboom enough credit. Rillaboom may have have a similar build to DK but they would work completely differently in terms of the kinds of moves used. Besides, what does it really matter if we have two similarly proportioned characters when we have literally 30+ humanoid characters with nearly identical proportions?
Cinderace has both the fan factor and mascot status going for them but in terms of moveset has some trouble carving out a unique niche for themselves compared to the rest of the cast. Could they be fun while feeling different to play from everyone else? Definitely.
Because of all this I think its mainly between Cinderace or Rillaboom if a Pokemon gets picked which I have the most confidence for out of any other character.
As far as my other picks I'd say;
Crash:
Very iconic past character with a strong rivalry comparable to Sonic and is having a recent resurgence.
Master Chief:
Has had a huge impact on the first-person shooter space and as such is a big past icon with a good sized fanbase. This franchise is also upon a resurgence. Not to mention Microsoft and Nintendo being buddy buddy, releasing stuff like Banjo-Kazooie and Cuphead DLC when talking about SSBU in particular. There is also going to be a new Halo game releasing late this year and rumors are floating around of a big Microsoft name in gaming being playable on the Switch.
Sonic Character:
Not certain how likely this is but definitely would be a worthy and welcomed addition in my view, aside from a few salty people not getting a single character from their wanted franchise while Sonic's gets two. Then again, maybe they'll get a echo/clone character in the future instead? The possible inclusions are numerous so I'll spare the details.
I think may may also see a character from Bandai Namco and Capcom but who knows?
I've also got a gut feeling that a lot of past and new Nintendo characters will receive echo/clone fighters, such as;
Octoling
Goouigi
Waluigi
Dixie Kong
Possibly a Pokemon like Blaziken over Captain Falcon for example
Not to say it'd be all of these but these ones seem like they'd have a shot.
Decidueye would have been a really cool character to play. Its a shame the Pokemon franchise doesn't just do their own version of Smash and include all the fan favorites.Yeah, I would give Rillaboom a fair try, so I say its between Cinderace, Rillaboom, and Toxtricity.
Honestly, I wished that Sakurai would've added in Decidueye (who is more popular) compared to Incineroar. Then, Cinderace would easily resolve the starter typings and would be almost guaranteed
Also with the other characters, I feel like Rayman is guaranteed, given the hints from Ubisoft adding in Mii Fighter outfits like the Rabbid and Altair
Almost mentioned it in that post. I mostly meant the bit about fan favorites as an afterthought.Well there's Pokkén which is filled with fan favorite Pokémon, but I don't see that many people talking about it anymore.
Pokken includes some fan-favorites, like Charizard, Mewtwo, Lucario, and let's not forget our boy Pikachu. But many other fan-favorites are missing; Greninja, Bewear, Venusaur, Infernape, many favorites are missing, but Pokken forgot about their DLCWell there's Pokkén which is filled with fan favorite Pokémon, but I don't see that many people talking about it anymore.
To me, probably fake. The tails art looks official sonic art, while the cinderace is too low poly. That and it dosen't say fighters pass vol 2 at the top. And it still uses the old background.Leaked image, anybody know if this has been debunked?
(Ik, it's probably fake)

Go for itCute but I don't think it even needs to be debunked.
I can send you my FC in private message if you'd like !
Yeah, but what worries me is that the top spots were Dragapult and Toxtricity, so what if it ends up being one of them? They finally posted the Pokemon of the Year results and Cinderace is the most popular Galar starter!
Even Scorbunny is more popular than Sobble and Grookey!

If Nintendo or Sakurai haven't decided on which Galar starter to add to Smash, hopefully this would be enough to convince them to pick Cinderace.
Well with the amount of special treatment that the Scorbunny line has received (getting 2 signature moves, a Hidden Ability that's functionally the same as Greninja's, and receiving tons of exposure in the Anime) this makes me think that they expected it to be the most popular of the 3 Galar starters and thus will have something special planned for it. There's also the fact that they have yet to release Cinderace's Hidden Ability and Gigantamax form, once people can see Cinderace at its full potential this would probably be enough to propel its popularity into Galar's Top 5.Yeah, but what worries me is that the top spots were Dragapult and Toxtricity, so what if it ends up being one of them?
I do feel a little bit better, since these were already decided. Because of that, Cinderace could've been chosen because of how much attention it gets.
Who knows, Greninja got Pokemon of the Year, maybe he'll finally be put in Smash.
I miss the days when people replied to this page non-stop
Then again, if you look at the anime, it seems as if Go's Scorbunny will evolve, and Pokemon seem to also be chosen based on the anime. Greninja and Incineroar because they're Ash's PokemonWell with the amount of special treatment that the Scorbunny line has received (getting 2 signature moves, a Hidden Ability that's functionally the same as Greninja's, and receiving tons of exposure in the Anime) this makes me think that they expected it to be the most popular of the 3 Galar starters and thus will have something special planned for it. In regards to the 2nd Fighter's Pass, it depends on whether or not they want to risk choosing to add a non-starter. Scorbunny at least has the advantage of being revealed all the way back in February 2019 giving people time to show Sakurai and Nintendo their love and support for it, meanwhile Dragapult and Toxtricity had hardly any promotion before the Sword and Shield came out. If what Sakurai said is true that the final decisions for FP2 were made around in November of 2019 then by that time it would have been kind of a gamble on their part to add a Pokemon like Dragapult or Toxtricity to the FP2 DLC before most people had time to decide whether or not they even like the new Pokemon.
Sakurai also happens to be very particular when it comes to adding characters, he prioritizes stuff like series representation, movement, and moveset potential. When it comes to Pokemon he considers stuff like what pokemon is being promoted by the Pokemon Company in both the games and Anime, the Pokemon’s unique features, how well they would fit into Smash, etc. There’s also the fact that Sakurai is currently working on the DLC with less people than he had during the development of the base game and as such I feel that this could also impact whether or not a character is eligible for DLC, especially when there’s a strict deadline. Sakurai has been quoted that it normally takes him and his dev crew a year to create a new character from scratch and fine tune them, which is why I don’t think Sakurai would want to add Pokemon like Dragapult or Toxtricity as to accurately represent either them would consume a lot of time and resources (unless of course someone can prove me wrong). However, he can drastically reduce the amount of time needed if he can recycle elements from other playable characters already in Smash, for example, like with that Cinderace mod you shared earlier Cinderace can easily borrow elements from other Smash characters like Lucario.
Of course, this is just my thoughts on the situation, Sakurai, however, is the type of man that you just can’t predict half the time. But who knows, maybe like wrestling Sakurai is a big Soccer fan, he owns plenty of sports games after all and he’s aware of popular Soccer icons like Captain Tsubasa.
I just find it a bit weird that they haven't shown off Sobble or Grookey in the Anime yet, normally they would have at least shown off all of the starters by now and have Ash catch at least one of them, but instead they opted to give Ash a Dragonite first. Then again, if you look at the anime, it seems as if Go's Scorbunny will evolve, and Pokemon seem to also be chosen based on the anime. Greninja and Incineroar because they're Ash's Pokemon
A lot of people expect a reveal around the time of E3 2020 and Nintendo could reveal a Pokemon like Cinderace to help promote the SwSh Expansion Pass. I also agree that it's possible that we could get two smash reveals, one where we get a predictable choice like Pokemon and one where we get an unexpected choice to show off the fact that Nintendo still has plenty of surprises left for FP2. But we'll just have to wait and see. We'll just see, a Pokemon would hopefully be revealed by the summer, and with a Direct looming (I hope), we could get an announcement there. What if we get two smash reveals? Its possible
If you look online, you'll see that the next episode summary in the new anime hints at Scorbunny's evolution. If Scorbunny evolves into Raboot, then it's likely that it'll evolve again at some point (I'm kind of getting Battle Bond vibes)I just find it a bit weird that they haven't shown off Sobble or Grookey in the Anime yet, normally they would have at least shown off all of the starters by now and have Ash catch at least one of them, but instead they opted to give Ash a Dragonite first.
In regards to Go's Scorbunny, starters used by Ash and his companions can take anywhere from 30 to over 100 episodes to evolve and in some cases like Ash's Rowlet they might never ever evolve. If they plan to have Go stick with Ash for multiple seasons, then Scorbunny probably won't evolve for a long time (for marketing reasons most likely).

Really? That was quick. Can you post a link? The sites that I normally use haven't updated it their episode lists yet.If you look online, you'll see that the next episode summary in the new anime hints at Scorbunny's evolution. Yeah, probably, but here's the link on TwitterSo I took the time to look around and I found this video that talks about the evidence that points to Scorbunny evolving soon within the upcoming episodesIf this is true then hopefully we might be able to see Go get Cinderace in the not too distant future.
Welcome man! Zarude is a possibility, now that you think about it. I'd like to see his style, most definitely. That being said, my gut is telling me its Cinderace or Rillaboomer. Rillaboomer because of a grass starter mainly. He's my second most wanted galar pokemon. He was first before Zarude showed up. I support.
Yeah, welcome to the thread. He's my second most wanted galar pokemon. He was first before Zarude showed up. I support.
Hey man, double posting isn't good here, so can you merge you're two posts so you don't get in trouble?Anyways I finally found the complete episode summery for Pokemon (2019) Ep. 17

ヒバニー、炎のキック!明日に向かって!! (Hibanny, Use Your Flaming Kick! Face Tomorrow!!)
"Satoshi (Ash) and Go are practicing battling in the Sakuragi Park. But then Hihidaruma (Darmanitan) comes over, provoking Go and Hibanny (Scorbunny), the Pokémon he has partnered with, by suggesting they should try using a Fire type move. Hibanny (Scorbunny) tries Ember, but it's not able to use the move very well and just ends up getting made fun of by Hihidaruma (Darmanitan). An annoyed Hibanny (Scorbunny) starts working hard on practicing this move, which Go thinks is pointless since Hibanny (Scorbunny) can battle just fine using its other moves. And before they know it, these contrasting mindsets result in the two starting to fight."
Hmm.
I'm glad they're addressing why Scorbunny hasn't been using any fire moves. If we go by the game's level up system Scorbunny would normally be close to learning Flame Charge. But since the Pokemon anime likes to throw us a curveball every now and then, I wouldn't be surprised (based on the title of the episode) if Scorbunny ends up learning Blaze Kick instead.
What's the Feliciafan vid?Not my favorite of the Galar starter, but the one Nintendo seems to be pushing the most, so they're probably the most likely Sw/Sh rep -- not too psyched about that, but when the Feliciafan vid finally comes out I might change my mind.
Feliciafan is a YT channel that does really awesome speculative movesets (check out the Sol Badguy and Nightmare ones), who was gonna do a Cinderace video a while back but delayed it so he can see the G-Max form in action first. What's the Feliciafan vid?
