Doubles Finals. And the tape doesn't have any Sheik matches on it. It just cuts off after the one I stated in the previous posts.

I fail. :(

Seriously I should have switched the tapes after Double GF's were finished. So that way i could have caught more on tape. I apologize to everyone that way expecting more. :(

If I don't work Friday I'l be down in Nags Head (High chance since I work Thursday and go to work every 2-3 days). So Yeah if I don't work Friday I'll be leaving for there sometime Thursday night. Where we gonna play? I don't know if I'll be able to have people over the vacation house. :/
We could play at my place but it would be an extra hour of driving for you. No pressure, maybe just see how you feel Friday and if you're bored enough come my way? lol

Doc, a question for you.

I am a Falcon main at heart, however, I've been playing Snake at tournaments to win. I do not enjoy playing snake, which leads me to the logic that I am playing Snake simply to win. If I am playing to win, then logically I should pick up Meta Knight since I do not have to deal with counterpicks.

So the question is simple

Play to win
or Play for fun.

Learn Diddy is the solution to every problem.

Little known fact.

Why would you have chosen Snake over Meta Knight if you only wanted to win in the first place?

There is nothing stopping you from going Meta Knight and having a much easier time winning(than Falcon). If you see tournaments merely as competitions between you and your opponent(for money as well), then naturally you would want to give yourself a leg up on everyone who isn't making the smartest move.

If you do not totally see a tournament in this way, then there is leeway in your decision. Why doesn't everyone play Meta Knight/Snake/Falco/top tiers? Because some people enjoy playing their character and willingly put up with their character's disadvantages for a variety of reasons. Besides being fun, a person might play a non top tier because of 1. Bragging rights when you win, 2. individuality, 3. respect(proving people wrong/your own skill kind of goes along these lines to me).

Who's to say you can't do both? Well, that depends on your character. In Falcon's case, it doesn't look like you can. Falcon's extreme disadvantages naturally make someone have a strong secondary for him in tournament.

So, what do I think about your situation personally? I think that if you are going to start traveling then you need to pick up a top tier secondary. If you know your Falcon will lose to someone, then use your top tier in tournament. If you're uncertain, try Falcon first, so you will at least enjoy some of the tournament. I can't really blame you for being sick of being beaten by people you feel like you outplayed yet lost to anyway, so if you were to use Meta Knight in tournaments I would completely understand. There is nothing really wrong with switching to Meta Knight(aside from how people will see you possibly).

I just lost my train of thought. I hope some of that stuff helped. Basically, it's your decision. It's about what you are thinking about when you decide to enter a tournament and the people that you will be playing against.

Originally, back when smash was new and grenade combo's were easy, Snake was fun. He also happened to be the chr I picked up(becuase falcon's terribleness was obvious from day 1) and did well with before tiers existed in any form. So I've simply drifted to him at tournaments.

I suppose I had fun and made friends (Shady,Karn,Duo, a G&W guy whos name i didn't get) even without winning.

But yeah, the solution is clear.

Falcon it is.

I find Snake's play style the most fun out of viable characters for tournament play.

I'll be teaming with a MK for this. I got some really gay tactics with Falco.

Shuttle Loop off stage > laser > rinse and repeat.

Falco CG and MK Tornado = helpless opposing team.

This is gonna be awesome, I'm gonna actually practice for this instead of just showing up with under 2 hours of play for the whole month. xD I've also picked up a new character, he will remain a secret til the day of, if Duo teams with shady, I'm gonna need a skilled teammate, anyone game?

I'd say me, but I don't know if I'll have enough money for teams, since I'm possibly doing singles in every event.
