Yoshi vs Fox is an extremely doable match-up. I feel more comfortable vs Fox than Falcon TBH.

But Kirby is Yoshi's problem lol (Pikachu is OK-ish).

The most embarrassing hit to die by is link's third jab or falcon's "knee" 3rd jab. I heard link's third jab has ok knockback but it would suck to die from such uncommon moves.

Also, this isn't a hit but, getting pushed off the edge by a sliding jiggly sing (there's a video somewhere) must be pretty embarrassing.

Finally, getting edgeguarded by pika's b move always makes me feel bad. I don't know why haha. It's like walking by a baseball practice and the baseball hits you on the side of the head.

's OK

I should have probably pointed out which ones were wrong, but it was like half of them so I just decided to be rude instead =/

I'm curious now, what's the general consensus for each character's best and worst move? Especially Mario's worst move.

Pretty much every one of Mario's moves has a use. I think dtilt would be used less often then ftilt though, and has killer ending lag.

Or you get gay and nitpicky and say something like his second jab, I dunno.

samus's best move is probably her charge shot, opens up a lot of options and adds intimidation factor - and no way is u-air her worst move, it's a reasonably safe poke, useful on a character that plays attrition a lot

captain falcon and fox's worst moves are the infinite jabs/lightning kicks, imo pika's worst move is his techroll or neutral b

link's worst move is shielding lol

Yoshi's jab is really useful get out of here

He doesn't really have and useless moves, though, so it's hard to say

I tried REALLY HARD to make Mario's tornado useful, but I gave up. It's kind of ****ty. But it's useful for recovery so bleh - recovery moves are automatically not useless

I would say Mario jab and ftilt is really close and hard to decide from

Techrolls and shielding are not moves

yoshi's jab is probably his worst move, i see no other move that could fit the bill

in a perfect world where mario is never knocked off the stage, mario tornado is bad

fine, link's worst move is probably jab (specifically a two-hit jab without the third)

IDK I think Yoshi dsmash is usually replacable with something else. Not bad alone but still

I also am partial to Link's single
jab though, so maybe I just like jabs or somethig lol

Mario's tornado is really cool for combos, unless your opponent has some sense of DI. Even then you can predict it sometimes and follow them. Rare though.

Yoshi's jab is good. Well, not so much the first hit but the second.

i find yoshi's jab useful sometimes...maybe that's just my level of play. or maybe there's a better option i haven't realized.
what about his neutral b though? you guys actually use that productively?

I almost put Samus's Bair for best but Dair on a grounded opponent can make for a 100% Bair at high percentages so I stuck with Dair.

For Yoshi I couldn't really think of a bad move so I put his egg because of the lag. Even though I probably use the egg way more than I should.

Don't really know how I put Dtilt as worse than Sing.

not saying yoshi jab isn't useful, just that it's likely his worst move (both in 'stats' and general use imo)

yoshi neutral B is pretty damn good, it's a nice surprise mixup

everyone hates jiggs dtilt

Yoshi's neutral B has really nice range and decent speed. Its downfall is that you get relatively little % out of it, but it's still an OK moves sometimes.

Yoshi's egg is a really good edgeguarding tool. It's also useful for recovery sometimes, although I don't see many Yoshis using it for that

Yoshi's Neutral B is great. Better than D-Tilt and jab at the very, very least.

Link's U-tilt cannot possibly be his best move, not by a long shot.

I find D-tilt good against lighties since it has fixed knockback. It sets up edgeguards. But that might be because I can't combo lighties. I find jab terrible on shields, but okay on a mid/high percent opponent.

I agree with your top 4 moves. Except Kirby utilt is better than pika upb imo.

isn't yoshi's grab suppose to be awful? That's just what I always thought the consensus was.

Maybe I haven't thought this through but I really like links bair as one of his better if not best moves. Comes out pretty quick and has good range, Its his best non-projectile spacing tool imo.

well, yoshi's grab would not be that good normally, but since you can parry grab, it is much better.

Do people really consider Yoshi Neutral B to be useful?

Thats odd because I've never seen anyone use it in any serious matches or even friendlies...maybe Malva.

i use it to get back on the ledge or occasionally a surprise approach. however i only started using it to get back on the ledge after isai did it in G2 >.>

I saw sheer do it in a few old vids I think. But I've always thought he was messing around/trolling. Didn't know it was an actual serious move, but why not, I should try.

I use it all the time vs Ness (covers most of his approach options rofl) and Kirby (beats utilt...). Sometimes vs other characters, but those are the main two.

I want to say Link's dair is his best move

Link's Dair is tight, but man, dat Utilt.

Dair is probably the best all-around move, but Utilt is by far his best combo tool. It's ridiculous range is also good.

I think Doug's fthrow is better than his Uair, actually. Think about it; I'm pretty sure it's true.
