I'm hearing a lot of talk about Checkers, but i've never even seen one. =( Is it a fast food chain only in the states or something? If it is, i'll make sure I try it next time i'm down =O

I would say Harvey's, they are the only fries that have made me feel good eating them.

I have not have NY Fries in a long time, for about 6 years -.- So I can't really say; McDonalds is okay, I like their over-salted fries and that's only because I constantly eat salted food. Wendy's fries taste like they just put it through a machine and baked it; it's not bad, but it's not good too. And KFC's taste like they fry their fries in the same fryer and oil as where they fry their chicken.

McDonalds has the best fries IMO

Blech, guys, BK fries taste like cardboard. And they have the same texture. McDonalds fries are absolutely delicious, even if everything else is pretty nasty.

I will admit that BK ketchup is far superior, though.
How dare you say my fries suck.

McDonald's fries are awful. You guys have absolutely horrible taste. I honestly hope you're all joking and I'm the only one who's not in on it. McD's should not even be on this list, let alone near the top.
Quoted For truth my friend.

McDonalds fries are WAY too salty, at first I used to like em' but soon after they made them too salty that's when I said, "yuck".

as for the best tasting fries, I have to say either either Arby's or Dairy Queen's

I second this, I miss DQ fries, they closed down the one in my town. Nearly all the fast-food joints in my town are closed now, all that's left is Wendy's, Taco bell, Subway and a BK just off the interstate.

If you ever get the chance to go to California, eat at an In-N-Out at least once. The potato is peeled, sliced and fried right there in front of the customer, not frozen or anything. And if you order it well done, they come out with a nice crisp to them.

edit: How did I forget Popeye's Cajun fries? Those are way good.

We don't have DQ here in New York...
Actually, we don't have alot of things here.
Sonics, Chick-a-fil, In-and-out, Roy Rogers. And we only got Arby's here on Long Island about a year ago.

lol wtf is checkers? never been to one, nor have i ever seen one. Im tired of MacDo Fries, I would love to try checkers seeing that it seems to be the best. They are all probably out of nyc, maybe NJ or conniticut. But thats a serious drive for fries.

Long Island. Closest one to the city is in Hempstead. After that, there's another one here in East Meadow. I suggest you make time to go to Checkers. Definitely worth it.

california... knows how to party
Also, I've never heard of Checkers. Checkers here are auto parts stores.
QFT is there a West Coast equivalence of Checkers. Here in Cali we got In n' Out their fries are probably the best but then again their everything is the best. Im not sure if these count as fries but the best potato like things i have purchased at a fast food place were potato oles (basically seasoned tater tots) from this fast food mexican place it was called taco johns or something. Chick-Fil-A (sp? we dont have them in california) is also very good. In general though, fires<onion rings... mmmhm onion rings.

Chick-fil-A's waffle fries and Arby's curly fries are my favorites.

McDonald's are too soft/soggy. BK and Wendy's (at least around here) are good though.

I was at a Checkers once in Florida, but I don't remember how the fries were, so I guess they weren't amazing.

Checker's are amazing, but I don't think it's fast food...

My take on it would have to be dairy queen or wendy's

The best regular French Fries are at Burger King. The best curly seasoned fries are at Jack in the Box.

Who are you and why do I agree with almost everything here!

(I also had checkers for the first time in Florida with my brother (just never went for some reason to the ones near me) but I thought they were pretty good.

Five Guys has the best fried of any place.

edit: Wait, Five Guys fries suck now? And I was so happy one was opening up near UCF.
I dunno; I thought they were above average, but they're not the best.

Like others say, Checkers. But also, Boardwalk Fries. I consider it fastfood although it's not a resturaunt. You get them at malls or amusement parks.

I'd have to say Bojangles. Their fries are effin amazing. KFC's and Checkers fries are right behind them imo.

I can tolerate Wendy's fries, but Burger King and McDonalds fries are garbage. Burger King's fries are too hard and have a stale taste. McDonalds fries, sometimes I wonder if those are even real potatoes. They are so greasy and soggy and you get no salt on them either, eww.
