BEAST COAST Genesis Crew Discussion

So guys I guess east coast @ genesis is just going to be atlantic north? FL is in the south crew.

We don't know how many people crews are going to consist of but let's just assume that it's going to be majority tristate, some md/va if people even go and are still good @ Melee, Darc and Cort if he still plays...

Who is going to decide this though and who calls the shots for who to send in? I know for me myself personally I am a great judge of who will do what when, and can think several moves ahead. I go to an Ivy League school so that's probably why.

anyways tristate is going to have a top 15 power ranking released probably by week's end, how are we going to as a coast organize and come up with the top what, 10 players and a few alts? We should prob just have an EC tourney, play it out for top 10 and that's our crew.

you probably want to select a lot of your members based on matchups ability, ability to handle pressure, etc. though

yeah I think what kevin said is important too. Crews brings a diff atmosphere. plus you should account for who is confirmed or not. For example, I personally think spammerer would be great for crews but srsly, whats the odds of him getting out there to CA?

He pretty much is, and he can gay the crap out of anyone there. I personally think that Cactuar should be calling the shots. That's just me, though. I think Pakman will agree as well, since he was the first person to bring that up. (See the Genesis boards). In general, 'Tuar has a good idea of who is who...period. He also has insight into the game that is rarely challenged. I think he'd make a good captain. I Think Scar would be a good co-captain as well.

Cactuar is really smart.

We're working on a tristate top 15 list so once that's out we'll have a good idea who we're sending in from tristate, then we have to figure out who else on the East Coast (minus FL) is going and is good enough to represent us against the best.

Again I'm thinking Cort/Darc... Thorn? I'm sure there are plenty of others in NE that I'm forgetting. Skler maybe just b/c he's incredible.

Chu is still really good. I saw the vids of him vs shiz last month and hes still amazing. I just cnt see Azen gettin that bad at melee regardless of how much brawl he plays.

Yea NE should try and go. We would beast with them...and Id probably be alot more comfortable as alternate. I dnt know how I'd fare in a national crew battle. I think Id choke

I think if the right ppl go that EC would have a B team that could contend. the alts list is looking sexy already and can be improved by alot if everyone shows up(well almost eevryone)


my doubt is that we wont even have the ideal A team due to travel issues

maybe atlantic north can get a sticky of confirmed ppl later on down the line. I think that'd help alot with crew make up.

although.. this isnt completely final.. so i say just prepare for 10man 2 alt anyways.. then if needed you can cut who ever if our time constraints only allow us for 8man 2 alt

Now this is just me...but I think we should throw a few more kinks in the woodwork for the other coasts. Especially since we don't have FL =S. I personally think, if at all possible we should add DJN to the list.(For variety and unexpectedness) I also agree with Tec0 and the Eggmnator being on the crew. Possibly Scar, too? I nominate myself for the water boy, xD.
