It stands for "direct primary" in which each player names two pokemon the opponent can not have on their team. Example: If my team is easily defeated by a snorlax, I can "d/p" it. The only problem is that the opponent might get to know your team before the match even starts.

Yay! Just my luck, he sent in a powerful sweeper right from the start. Many would cringe
at such odds, but Jumpluff and I had trained for these moments. I knew he would hit me
hard and fast.

Aha! I have always had a weakness to powerful sweepers so immobilizing that ugly monkey
from the get-go was a real victory. I knew I had to switch now and swipe the floor with
him. Besides, Jumpluff doesn't have any attack moves. ^_^

I wasn't sure exactly what my opponent was thinking. Would he sacrifice his disabled
monkey which was now basically useless to him, or would he send out a new pokemon to
take the blow? I didn't think a Paralyzed Infernape with 50% damage would be worth
saving so... EARTHQUAKE!

Shadowball? What the heck was that? I dont know what he was expecting, maybe a Gengar,
but it mattered little to me. Blissey could take anything Roserade had to offer.

decided now that the Challenger might have a Swampert weakness if he was going risk
keeping Weavile in, or maybe he was mindgaming me. Meh, steel>ice.

Agh, so much for Jumpluff making a re-appearance. Good thing my Swampert came from
my GBA games when Surf>Waterfall. I had always planned on taking it out for Waterfall
eventually, but this works too. :)

I had actually thought of using Ice Beam because I predicted this would happen, but my
FINGER SLIPPED! No bother. It was now a gamble. Should I send out Blissey, or would my
opponent know what I was up to? Ah, screw it. Go Blissey!

Well, I tried to make the match as exciting as possible. (I didn't think the rest of the
battle needed narration) I hope you enjoyed the read and will take time to write your own
battles. You dont even have to win. ;) Good game, challenger.. I didn't want to take up so much room. I hope the text doesn't kill you. I also had to put it into two boxes because the site couldn't handle it or something.
Yay for Jumpluff who always takes at least one nasty littler bugger with him. A round of applause to Swampert and Blissey who forced a lot of switches into my favor. Metagross, my only fallen pokemon in the match, you will be forever remembered for your bravery in softening up a Swords Danced Weavile which allowed Swampert to deal the final blow. Porygon-Z, you used win. Good job, matey! Electivire, you sucked... Not just this match, but every single match you've ever been in. Go die in a fire.
