Double post but it's been a while since the last one so I think it should be okay.
Just got Inigo yesterday in Awakening.
Here are his stats.
  • Class: Lv. 13 Mercenary
  • Strength: 23
  • Magic: 10
  • Skill: 32
  • Speed: 31 (Max speed btw)
  • Luck: 26
  • Defense: 17
  • Resistance: 6
  • Skills: Armsthrift, Patience, Lancebreaker, and Galeforce.
Of course it had to post when I was only halfway done with my post. Because of course it did.
Anyways, the way that I've been playing Awakening has reminded me of 2 certain Awkward Zombie comics.
I've almost always been reclassing my units for skills.

I'm really hoping the full voice acting from Shadows of Valentia becomes the standard. Other than that...good world building, please. When even Heroes has its continent named, there is no excuse for Fates not having done so. :p

I forgot to post this earlier, but I now have Gerome, which means that I have all of the 2nd generation units now.
Here are Gerome's stats, for those who care.
  • Class: Lv. 12 Wyvern Rider
  • Hp: 55
  • Strength: 28 (+2 because of strength plus 2)
  • Magic: 10
  • Skill: 26 (Max)
  • Speed: 24 (Max)
  • Luck: 18
  • Defense: 27
  • Resistance: 6
As for what I am going to do next, I'm going to try and train up more of the children and get them some skills for them and maybe try and see their supports so that I can see more of their personalities.

Also how does one make Azura useful. I don't think she's survived the last 3-4 fights, and she's only level 5......how does one make use of azura without getting her killed? If only there was something that could make a unit go up a level, I'd bu a few of those for her and get her promoted.....
My apologies if this response is quite late. I was looking back at some old posts on this thread and realized I completely overlooked it back then.

To answer that question, the best way to make Azura useful is to grind her up in Chapter 5. Beat all of the enemies on the map, and once the map is clear except for the boss, simply keep using Azura's Sing on Corrin and ending your turn after each time you do it. Azura will gain experience this way, and you can keep doing this over and over until you get Azura to the level you want her to be. I recommend grinding her up until she's around Level 18-20 range, but you could abuse this method so that she reaches Level 40 (although reaching that point will take A LOT of turns).

The simply key to this trick is to simply not kill the hooded man boss; he is stationary and doesn't move, hence why this method works. The level ups Azura gains will carry over to the first chapter she is playable in for that route. In the case of Birthright and Revelation, she's playable from Chapter 6, but in Conquest, she won't be useable until Chapter 9.

As for grinding your Azura to where she is now? Pretty much the best way I can think of is whittling down enemy HP until they are just enough for Azura to land a kill, and then she can gain experience that way (the Grinding DLC might help you with that). Otherwise, there's not much of an effective way to grind her up if she's low-leveled and it's late into Conquest.

But if you ever decide to play Birthright or Revelation, or you want to do another rerun of Conquest, the method I described will help Azura become usable by the time your start the real adventure.

I've also came across a tumblr page that goes really indepth with optimal pairings with pure analysis from every possibilities of each parent that I could find years ago too. It was more of a which children should you optimize for the Apotheosis DLC. Once I found it, I will edit this post if required.
Okay, that post was a long while ago, but I've finally stumbled upon the blog site right here: Fire Emblem: Awakening - Character Analysis

This was the exact website I had tabs on when I was playing Awakening at around summer 2013 when I was interested in harnessing the potential of second-generation children to their absolute maximum. This person went through every single possibility of each children from every possible parent and class, and all of it should be in preparation for the Apothesis DLC iirc.

Oh wow he's also doing Fire Emblem Fates too at the very top. But anyways, for anyone still playing Awakening, I would definitely checking this blog up.

Well.....I'm still on that conquest run, haven't touched it for a month or two, Hinoka is rough......
but that's good advice I'll use on the next run

So guys what do you expect from Fire Emblem's upcoming tittle for Switch?
My dream would be the voice acting like Echoes, the world map that Echoes had, with the ability to explore dungeons but taken a step further with the ability to also explore towns and stuff. Shining Force used to have something like that, as did Gaiden when it was on the Famicom.

What do I expect? Them to tone back stuff from Echoes and bring back stuff from Fates, such as a Second-Generation that is in the game even if it makes no sense, the ability to touch other characters, tons and tons of relationship building, and Nintendo to finally get the bright idea to make money by DLC by putting out Costume Packs that put the female charcters in swimsuits because there is no way Nintendo did not notice how many people are willing to pay money for swimsuit characters in Heroes.

So, I expect that to be added to the next Fire Emblem on Switch.

In a nutshell, more of what we saw from Awakening and Fates with new features to boot, and all the ideas from Echoes punted to the sidelines.

So I was playing Echoes earlier, chapter 4, ready to fight Nuibaba. However I decided to backtrack a little bit to the lower portion of the map, in order to grind/hunt for quests. A witch enemy spawned from Nuibaba's Abode and followed me all the way down there, then she stopped right above Zofia Castle, at "North Gate". And... turns out this area is an unused (?) map for the game, you won't ever see it if you just go forward naturally; I have completed multiple runs of SoV since it released but I never even came across said area.

Speaking of SoV, by closely listening to the English dub and reading the French text, I noticed a discrepancy in the translation (this is purely localization trivia). One of the Whitewings, Palla I believe, told me that Minerva's siblings have caused her quite some trouble. However, the French text reads as "her sisters" instead of "her siblings", but Minerva doesn't have more than one sister and Palla was most likely referring to Michalis. ...just kind of an odd mistake, seeing as Michalis appeared in both Shadow Dragon and Heroes, and they were translated in my language too.

Last but not least, I somehow managed to nab Jedah's Dracoshield in front of the tower. I was able to cheese it with Casual mode, but it was still a harsh task: my only option was to have Celica use Ragnarök on him, which would've killed her due to Jedah's counterattack if she failed to crit, and of course I wouldn't have been able to use Mila's Turnwheel. Luckily I got a crit on my first try. :p

The Fire Emblem games would work well as movies, especially if made in England with all-English casts and crews (aside from a few crew members carried over from the game series). I like sword-wielders a lot when they are portrayed by Englishmen/women.

Surprised no one has posted this yet. At last month's E3 Nintendo Direct, a new Fire Emblem game called Three Houses was unveiled for the Nintendo Switch:

It's just that discussion has been in other threads with its not overshadowed by Smash.
