I don't think it was Vergebin, but someone who supported Steve on Minecraft called somebody an autistic ****** (probably not someone autistic either, mind you, but still), and that just doesn't sit right with me personally lol. I know it's just a word, but my twin sister has autism and it never really sat right with me when people use that word so casually and especially as an insult towards autistic people. What did Verge say that was anti-autistic our of curiousity?
Her first game was the only Nintendo exclusive in her series and then went multiplatform afterwards and her debut game came at the end of GBC lifespan and couldn't even get a release on the new GBA at the time , Plus it sold poorly and was just another cartoon platformer release that were a dime a dozen in the sea of many other games for GBC and consoles during the 90's and early 2000's, She may have been on Nintendo consoles, But that's the thing, that's all she has going for her and you can say that for many other companies games and characters.I didn't say Shantae should be in because she is an icon, but because the character is very close to Nintendo that she is practically Nintendo similar to Bayonetta and Simon. Bayonetta is not very iconic either, but
she is in Smash because her series is tied to Nintendo now.
Rayman has games on Nintendo, but as I said Rayman isn't a character people associate with Nintendo or any console. Not trying to attack Rayman fans or saying who shouldn't be in.
I know I like to derail threads defend characters that I feel have a good reason to be in, but I have also done it with Banjo in other threads.
Also you said there isn't many gaming legends left. Oh yeah there is one, and if this leak is true, it just opened the door to him.
That it is the only thing that disspoints me a little bit. I love Smash reaction videos and would love to see how people would react to Banjo in Smash. It wont be as fun watching them as people wont be as shocked.
And great to see that many are Banjo-Kazooie fans and supporters too.Wow, I'm glad to see so many people with autism and Asperger's on Smashboards. Glad to know you all and be with you as we wait and pray for our dreams to finally come true with this game!
Agreed, good sir! It's a beautiful sight to see our dreams getting closer and closer to becoming a reality after all these years of waiting and hoping. And it is lovely to see even more people like myself on here <3 Who knew Smash would bring so many of us together? :3And great to see that many are Banjo-Kazooie fans and supporters too.
Oh I should've realized there would've been so many of us on here, but sometimes I forget I'm not the only one out there lolNot to make fun of anyone with Autism or Aspergers as i have the latter, but its not really surprising Smashboards has a lot of people like that. I don't even need to be told, you can kinda tell by a lot of people's language and their crazy obsessions. It's all good though, that it can foster a pretty "passionate" community of fans, the past 48 hours have certainly been passion fueled. I think latching onto brands, video games, and characters is something a lot of people with mental issues do, probably 1 reason why Smash makes people go so crazy is because its all those things in such a way it makes us euphorically happy and engaged. I'll be mental for Banjo-Kazooie all day long though
I don't see how using it as an insult towards genuinely autistic people makes a difference. Using it as an insult at all is insulting the condition and, by extension, those with it. Who the insult is aimed at isn't all that important, IMO.I don't think it was Vergebin, but someone who supported Steve on Minecraft called somebody an autistic ****** (probably not someone autistic either, mind you, but still), and that just doesn't sit right with me personally lol. Quick question: where was it said that Verge was the one who said that? I ask because while you guys have every right to be angry at that remark, I don't want you putting the blame on someone innocent.I have Autism as well, and it’s absolutely ridiculous to see people use it as a general insult, like how d*ckish can some people really be?
That said, it doesn’t really faze me that much and I think Verge is being childish which makes me take him less seriously now
I don’t think it was Vergebin lol, it was some anonymous person on some forum site like 4chan or something (which explains a lot lol) talking about Steve being in over Banjo and resorting to childish name calling to state his points. I never said it was Vergebin personally.Quick question: where was it said that Verge was the one who said that? Apparently it's a common thing on 4-Chan. They're not exactly the most likeable bunch but somehow one of them has infiltrated my friendship circle all the same. I've only had to pick him up on it once so far...I don’t think it was Vergebin lol, it was some anonymous person on some forum site like 4chan or something (which explains a lot lol) talking about Steve being in over Banjo and resorting to childish name calling to state his points. Hmm, I didn't know about that. Well, if that's the case, then shame on him.Verge has called people autistic. It was right after the Pokemon track came out so Music theory was in contrast to Incineroar and he got mad at people doubting him so at the very least he has called people autistic before if it wasn't him in this case.
That has got to be the single nicest and most sincere fanart for Smash Incineroar I've ever seen.View attachment 172222
All this time people thought Incineroar was an anti-hype addition, not realizing he was a canary to fish out leakers. A real hero

Maybe I'd rather see the trailer and game play with the music and excitement that Sakurai and Co planned for us?I can't understand that viewpoint at all. There is no benefit in waiting to know. All this does is eliminate the horrible droughts as now all we have to do is see the trailers assuming it's real.
If you could provide a link to this I would appreciate it, I'd love to be wrong on this. Also when someone gets a chance, could I be added to the support list?Didn't the tour bus just prove that there is more then one background?
The background provably changed with the addition of new characters since E3... This actually means nothing.Hey guys, I've been really only sticking to the Dixie support thread as she is a character I really do think deserves to be in Smash and that I just personally want to see get in, but Banjo getting into this game really would be a dream come true and would make this game truly Ultimate for me. Now, as far as the Grinch leak goes, I've lost quite a bit of faith in it.Artsy Omni recently hosted a livestream getting into detail as to why the 'leak' is more than likely a fake. You may disagree, but all of these discrepancies in the background really make it hard for me to believe this leak is legitimate. That being said, this doesn't mean Banjo couldn't still be in the game. Nintendo and Microsoft are surely both aware of the fan demand, and after all the recent cross promotions, friendliness between the two companies, and Phil Spencer's public support for the idea before Ultimate was even revealed, now seems like the perfect time for Banjo to get in. Leak or no leak, I still think he has great shot.

Okay, so after taking a look, I'm still not convinced. Characters being moved around and obstructing background elements is nothing new, this really doesn't prove the leak right. Again, the 'leak" is missing details that have been present in every banner background up until now, including the most up to date one on the website. Could it have changed? Sure. But why would they remove details to actively make it worse? It just doesn't add up. I'd highly suggest watching the video I linked, it explains it much better than I can. I hope you guys understand where I'm coming from here, I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade, I just don't want anyone to be too disappointed if this leak turns out to be fake, which it seems like it may be. And again, this leak being fake does not mean Banjo can't still be in.
To be honest those discrepancies in the background don't debunk the leak in my opinion, I think the leak still holds a lot of veracity. The guy whose name was written near the banner is real and he has worked in 2 companies, one that had connections with Bandai Namco and the other one which still has worked in gaming products. The latter hasn't made any statement like the first enterprise which makes it really suspicious and finally the Grinch ornaments, which shouldn't be there in the first place, like why a leaker would put The Grinch ornaments in a freaking smash leak. Also, why do the background has to remain the same in the final banner, given the amount of characters there are 77, they may have chosen to edit the background for aesthetic purposes but apparently I have read many people that look like they work for nintendo or the merchandising team because they are 100% sure the background is unchangeable.Okay, so after taking a look, I'm still not convinced. Yes GUH-HUH!!To be honest those discrepancies in the background don't debunk the leak in my opinion, I think the leak still holds a lot of veracity. I am TeamRealFTW all the way in. I am still conscious that the leak could be proven fake any time but for me it would only be possible if the creator shows up and explains how he did it or the next direct shows a character that isn't one of the seven showed until now.
