One of the things I've been pondering is what the next wave of DLC will entail. I wrote on SourceGaming that we've reached the end of the Pre-Ballot stuff. Most of what was been released was shown off as late as mid-June and a lot of that was planned even earlier. We've really been left in the dark since and its mid-September now. You think that they've had to be working on something in the background. On a similar note, the ballot ends October 3rd. Will they not decide any characters until after that? Also, what other content will they release. I've been wondering if they'll have any more mode, and it seems plausable with how long it's taking to show us anything new.

For those of you who don't know, Nintendo often shows a lot off in the fall. Nintendo use to do something called Space World instead of attend the Tokyo Game Show (a trade show on the scale of E3). Nintendo stopped Spaceworld a long time ago, but still showed off information, and this was later co-opted by the Nintendo Directs. I don't expect Nintendo to attend the Tokyo Game Show, so I wouldn't doubt they will show off a lot more information on games coming out in the fall (Starfox Zero, Tri-Force Heroes) and early next year. Perhaps that is when they will show off Smash news. (Fun fact: Sonic was shown off during Nintendo's fall presentation)

So hopefully we'll hear some more new in October. Maybe Nintendo will start doing Directs again. I'd like to here your guys thoughts on this, so feel free to add.

You know what would make a good custom neutral special? The Hadouken Kirby gets when you charge up Beam. Why doesn't Kirby get different custom moves like Palutena? Imagine having Beam and Bomb for neutral specials, or Tornado and Hi-Jump for up specials. Why, Sakurai?

Or Wheel Kirby for his . You guys already know this,but has more custom moves than any other character.

Doubtful. Nintendo doesn't really do lyrics. If they did, though, I don't think Kirby would be the series they'd try it out on.

That would do more harm than good because he's loose his only projectile. Now if they replaced Jet Hammer, than that would be good. As long as Hammer Spin's not as broken as it was in Triple Deluxe.

If , , and can all move forward in their d-tilts, I don't see why the Dee can't.

On the subject of the Kirby Starman, I've been thinking of something. What if a Kirby themed mobile game would be an endless jumper with many playable Kirby characters that took place in Bubbly Clouds. You can have your main characters like Kirby and Dee while several enemies can be playable like Starman and Bronto Burt. I can imagine the roster being around a good 10 with twice the amount of stages as Dedede's Drum Dash.

Inb4 mobile Nintendo games are the Devil.

Agreed on this. Also, I really don't think it'd be a very good idea - it has the potential to sound awful, and on a more practical level, it creates localistion (and therefore budget) issues that the Kirby series typically avoids due to its "quiet" nature.

If they did, though, I don't think Kirby would be the series they'd try it out on.

Going on the trailers for Fire Emblem Fates, Fire Emblem would probably be that series. Both versions of the trailer song for that game are really nice, incidentally.

If BDee gets in, he's going straight to 2nd main, no matter how bad he may be or how awkward his moveset may potentially be. That's what happened with Kirby and Dedede after I became a fan of Kirby (although D3 is now a secondary).

I'm pretty sure that a character who has playable roles, appears during entire games and is grouped with "the main characters" is not a minor character.

People want BD because he is now important, relevant, represents the most iconic species in the franchise, is unique, etc.

And that thing about worthy contenders is just your opinion.

For the same reason people want any character, a lot of people like the character. Bandana dee is also a Kirby rep which a lot of people say is underrepresented, and the most important of all the Kirby characters not is smash.

It's mainly because Bandana Dee is the 4th major protagonist in Kirby, which to many (including me) is underrepped as Nintendo's fifth largest franchise, is a fan favorite, and he's already got a moveset laid out for him.
To see what I mean't about moveset potential please watch at least a bit of this, thanks.

Sorry if I came across as belligerent. I was honestly wanting to know y'all's opinions and reasoning for BD. Thanks guys. I am more of a fan of the classic Kirby games and was unaware of how important BD is to the series nowadays - I always viewed him as a minor character. Guess I need to do what I needed to do a long time ago and catch up on some modern Kirby titles

As for my picks, I am a supporter of King K. Rool, Shantae, Wolf, and Shadow to be included in Smash Bros., though I'm open to seeing others in the mix.
