An imaginative question, but a very tricky one for me to answer, as I main Dedede and he's also my favourite Nintendo character of all, and I don't find anyone else on the roster all that fun to play as!
Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings and Duck Hunt, alongside Kirby, are my mains in Smash 4. To be more specific, in order, these are my mains:

Don't really have a smash 4 main yet but my favorite Kirby character to play as is meta knight.
2nd Main:
, He has a good recovery, great edge guarding skills,can deal with spammers, just an average character like . Plus, 2 out of 3 of his taunts generate a lot of salt., He's a giant turtle/dragon with spikes on his back that breathes fire, and he can never die (Ultimate tech master). His forward smash, while it isn't as strong as , or has range like . It DOES have style.

When I first got the game, I played Rosalina as she was probably the character I was most hyped for. I've then moved other characters and now play all three Kirby characters & Samus. Samus is really fun to play imo & I wish more people would play her. Out of all three Kirby characters, Dedede is probably the character I have the most fun with, because vertical Gordo.
I've played Melee when I was 5 at a birthday party, of course since I was 5, I sucked but it was one of my favorite games ever & kept asking my brother for it. (obviously I didn't know about console compatibility. we had a PS2 instead). I still don't have Melee to this day despite having a GC compatibile Wii & Gamecube controllers. (but I want it more than ever, my birthday is coming up tho so maybe I'll get it :D )

The first Smash game I played was Melee, and I first heard at a store, and I ended up getting it.
It'll come, eventually, it was probably postponed due to Iwata's passing, much like what @XenoBrawler610 said.
Mine was Brawl. Saw it at the store, saw Mario, Pikachu, Pokemon Trainer (didn't call him Ash and I was maybe 8 or 9), and Link so I bought it.

Hmm, Melee was my first Smash Bros, coming with my first Gamecube back in 2003. Needless to say, simply loved the game, I didn't expect such a game to exist, but I'm really glad it did. Mainly because it was one of the reasons I decided to make video games today, along side another game, Rayman Arena because I loved those games to death.
The same things took place. It was that stupid Nintendog blocking the stage. Resetti the Talkative. The paper fan. That fracking paper fan. I still have nightmares about that fan. Other than that, I mained Kirby, Dedede, Meta Knight and Sonic. Mostly Meta Knight because of his glide, until he got a big fat nerf in this game.

hmmm... I guess...I encountered a weird bug involving the F.L.U.D.D. whilst playing online yesterday: If it hits Dedede as he's beginning a Super Dedede Jump in the air, going sideways into the water, he'll be in the air for longer (which is normal when the F.L.U.D.D. hits him as he's jumping or flying), and then descend ludicrously slowly. My opponent didn't move as this happened, even though it was obvious that the aftershock was going to hit them, so I assume that they were just as bemused as I was.
As for the cape, returning caped Gordos for one-hit KOs and shield-breaks is always fun, too, and the same goes for Villager when he's pocketed them. Actually, there's a thought, depending on how destructive Bandana Waddle Dee's spears are, if he has Spear Throw as a move, the same should apply to him, shouldn't it?

Why?
Video games only sometimes work for me. But there is also the problem of getting too sleep deprived to concentrate. The only time in recent memory that I was awake for an extended period of time was when I marathonned a show. I was awake for at least 30 hours and barely tired. But my brother has at one time (according to him) been awake for either 60 hours, or 5 days. I'm not sure specifically.
Why do you need to stay awake? Tough it out, and when you start feeling sleepy, stick your face in some cold water or take a shower. That's what I do, anyway. Or drink a lot of soda. Pepsi, if available. That **** is sugar in drink form.
I need to stay awake because I go back to school very soon and I futzed up my sleep schedule and I can only fix it by going the long way. I believe this is a fitting time for

I tried that yesterday. Went to sleep at 7 am, had alarms set for 7:45, 8:00 and 8:15. Slept through all of them and woke at 2 PM.
First Smash game I played was 64, though I wasn't born when it cane out. My friend's brother had it.
