Confirmed, Meta Knight only appears in Kirby Triple Deluxe as one of Stone Kirby's transformations, where he turns into a statue of Bandana Dee, King Dedede, and Meta Knight.

Well at least he is in the game in some form.

Also, it's pretty funny that Meta Knight doesn't appear in the game, but

I guess Meta Knight could end up a unlockable in Smash 4 then, wouldn't feel weird either since Meta Knight most often only plays a role in the latter part of Kirby games.

I don't think that Meta Knight would be unlockable. I feel as though that we will see him on the initial roster, but we dunno when they will reveal him. He would either have to be a part of an upcoming Trailer or get revealed randomly (which at this point needs to happen).
If Kirby was going to get an unlockable character, it has to be Bandana Dee. Again, you need to reveal Meta Knight before you reveal Bandana Dee.

I think is more practical that a giant list of supporters in the OP.
You can also see it in all the pages instead of the page 1 only , and you can know who are the enemies too.
I personally think all the threads need one "support poll" XD
