He didn't appear, Captain Waddle Doo and Escargoon are like Bandana Dee in the anime.
Bandana Dee is like the combination of them and their roles in the games.

I got off work not that long ago. And for some reason I was thinking it was Triple Star Deluxe. *shrugs* Triple Deluxe feels like it's missing something a bit. I'm kind of interested in the new bad guy. I don't want them to keep using Magolor, but I am disappointed no appearances by him so far.

Are there significant differences between their designs? I could see it with Meta Knight, but I don't recall Dedede looking too different. I wouldn't be surprised though if they did update their designs to the latest ones though. That's what they tend to do with most characters (looking at Samus).

I can see that, though Meta Knight looks different to me. I don't see too many differences between Brawl King Dedede and KRtDL King Dedede.

Their new designs look weird to me.
Meta Knight looks weird with tiny wings and Dedede looks weird with a small body and a big head.

I doubt it, they will probably have the same detailed brawl look but with a lighter color palette, something like peach.
DDD needs to be more detailed in my opinion though, he is a king after all.

The differences in KRTD King Dedede from SSBB are: He doesn't have an opening above his stripes, he has a smaller sleeve opening, and he has fewer but bigger stripes.
