Your overdramatic use of periods is obnoxious. What exactly do you mean by "Too many locks"? Also I'm not seeing Dark Samus on that box so it's obviously not EVERY character.
Sorry about the periods thing, but also read the entire thread, because it explains why not all the characters are visible.

It's OK, guys, we can make a DLC campaign if Bandana Dee is not in the base game.
And this time we would not have to compete with veterans.

But yeah, for now that box thing is just a theory.

I think the box art theory is pretty solid. Everything about it makes a lot more sense then just chairs and pillow colors. Now bandana dees chances are beginning to look very slim. Because he has to fight agains other popular characters like Isaac, geno, shadow, skull kid etc... again it’s just theory but still this one seems pretty believable here’s hoping it’s not.

Never lose hope, folks. The moment we falter, the moment we'll end up letting the haters trample all over us.

He haven't seen any reason to doubt his return yet. That box means nothing at the moment, and we know how much he's wanted around the world. Especially in Japan.

Reminder that this was a thing, folks:

He's got plenty of chances and plenty of time. He's either in or not by this point, so don't make assumptions until he either shows up or Sakurai says that they've shown everyone.

EDIT: For those that can't read the top five:
1. Bandana Waddle Dee/Waddle Dee
2. Rex
3. Spring Man
4. Mimikyu
5. Jibanyan

Anyone seen this? Apparently some people have been looking at, the Smash Pro Controller box art, and if you look at the side, it shows characters in their slots. Right after where Isabelle would be, it has spots for two more characters, one might be an echo, another a new character. Bringing the total to 72, and those might be the final characters.

It might not mean anything, I don't think it does but interesting.

He was the most dominant character everywhere
Nope just in america. See the Famitsu poll that was just posted. That was before K.Rool was revealed. The fact is the character had absolutely no presence outside of the american internet smash circles, same as Ridley.

That was a prediction poll. And the fact that Rex is on it should tell you it's not a poll from 2015 which was the ballot time. He was massive everywhere including Japan.

Splitting hairs. It's still a poll to gauge where the community's interest lies. K.Rool has no presence outside of America. You have no proof that Japan wanted him. It was a falsehood drummed up to try and get people invested in his bandwagon.

What about the source gaming poll? What about the collection of fan polls that has him listed number 1 in every category? I really think you're the one pushing falsehoods mate.

Source gaming never did a poll for Japan. It was one guy looking at internet posts completely out of context. That's nothing. There also are no fan polls from japan that have him anywhere close to #1

K.Rool wasn't wanted in the east.

Do feel free to check these out. Maybe even look into Japanese polls yourself but for now, I see a lot more evidence that he was popular everywhere and just you saying the contrary.

K Rool was definitely popular pretty much everywhere.

Heck, if the "Bayonetta being the winner of the poll was rigged" rumor was actually true, I wouldn't doubt K. Rool being the actual winner. He had support pretty much all around the world.

That being said, Bandana Waddle Dee (and Rex) have both since taken over those polls entirely. I think Rex still may be a little too new though.

This happened last time. It's the chairs all over again.

Duck Hunt Dog got deconfirmed, guys. :troll:

Plus we just got Isabelle, who is quite popular in Japan. So who's to say we won't get another Japanese darling? So cheer up, everyone! :kirby:

Mr Sakurai did say he will show every single character before release. I really don't want lose hope for the little guy but at the same time I don't want to set my self up for disappointment. This hype cycle is eating away at me.

I'd like a moment to give a piece of advice to those feeling uncertain.

That's alright, and losing hope like that is a ****ty feeling. I'd recommend taking the time to spend some more time with other interests.

Ever since Ultimate came out and I joined this forum, Smash speculation, hype and discussion took up a good portion of my free time. I've considered Dee a lock for a while, but I don't really feel like I can still say that at this point. I still consider Dee to be among the most likely candidates when it comes to first parties, but competition is extremely tight now. I've had this nagging feeling in my stomach ever since Isabelle's reveal. I still believe he's got a decent shot of getting in, but not as much as I used to despite numerous, NUMEROUS factors pointing towards his inclusion.

My point is, all that speculation and hype is kind of backfiring for me at this point in time, and I don't want to get my experience with the game soured simply because of expectations I set myself that may or may not come true. I'll still be rooting for Dee, even if he doesn't get into the base game. But it's much better for my mental health to just take a step away from smash speculation right now and focus on other interests that I've been neglecting for months now. And if you feel similarly, I'd personally advice doing the same. I've only started today, but I already feel slightly better because of it.

Yeah, Overhyping yourself is dangerous. But continued support is pretty much all I have left to rely on for Skull Kid getting in the future if not the base game. He's certainly not getting in if the roster starts getting smaller so I'm a I really want people to continue their support regardless of how likely you think he is.

PLEASE!

EDIT: errr, I thought I was on Skull Kid page, but the same applies to Dee, except I can see him getting a game with a smaller roster. And continued support is expected

I've been focusing on gaming and daily walks myself. It's best to go on the forums a few times a day, otherwise it's just going around in circles until something happens.

Why do you keep pretending that the american smash fans represent japan? These are literally just westerners going "I think so, so everyone must think so"

Don't go spouting about K.Rool being popular in Japan if you don't have any actual polls or proof.

K.Rool is NOT popular in the East. You gotta stop telling people he is.

Again not a poll. A random dude's opinion on what he personally feels people want.

"Japan likes K.Rool" was a lie created to help push his bandwagon meme

Because they already did the work. I don't understand what you have to gain from pushing this false narrative that K Rool was only popular in America

The proof shows that Japan has no interest in K.Rool. Why are you still trying to push this false narrative? I know you'll struggle to understand this as you people usually do, but American interest doesn't represent the entire planet. You're pushing a false narrative.

In regard to the current debate on whether K. Rool was meant for Western or Worldwide appeal and what it means for Bandana Dee, I believe it doesn't matter, because even if King K Rool was meant to appease Japan, it's only one character. Considering how the west got more than Japan this time, it doesn't make sense for there to be no more than one (non-echo) character targeted for Nintendo's home audience.

Ok so here is the thing about that, these people have actually looked into and analyzed Japan's interest and you're proof is just saying K Rool is only popular here. Now ignoring the fact he is also popular in Europe already denting your credibility in this matter, when it's your word versus their research I have no reason to put stock into your word. You say proof shows the contrary then, by all means, provide this proof.

Yep. This is why I'm thinking Dee might be in.

Ridley, K.Rool, and Dark Samus for the west

Bandana Dee, Isabelle, and Chrom for japan

these people have actually looked into and analyzed Japan's interest
Says who? You got any proof? How do you know he actually did anything?

Meanwhile in reality
Japan's magazine smash poll.jpg

This proves that Japan doesn't care for K.Rool. Until you have proof showing otherwise this will be treated as the truth

Here's one plus the source gaming one now I have two and you only have one so I guess I win. I mean if you can ignore facts I can ignore your claim that the source gaming one isn't legit
