How sure are we that it's Azen? <_<

Some interesting traps, but that Lucario was a n00b, and and there was too many double fairs and Usmashes.

Plus it's Wi-Fi, you could feel the lag even though they were replays.

Ummm...It's Azen. I'm positive, and thanks for calling me a n00b. I appreciate that. Fairs seem to work, why does it matter if he uses them all the time. Even with the move decay they still own.

I'm sorry, but I think the lag screwed you hard. Hey, if people can call me a n00b online, then I guess it's justified. <_< No jokes, but I seriously think you aren't used to the lag, or you were seriously screwed while Azen wasn't. Half the time, it seemed like you were just idle/weren't used to online at all. Seriously, look my Wi-Fi videos up, they look pretty bad too.

Simply put, online is an entirely different thing to play in, and you're probably not used to it/got the shorter end of the stick. Sorry to offend, it wasn't suppose to come out that way.

If you shielded the second Fair from the double Fair, you can punish since Marth gives up his DI when he fastfalls/does an aerial on the ground. Plus he tried too many Fair, Fair, Fsmash, which could work on Wi-Fi, so eh.

I guess it could be Azen. I think he said he likes red, right? Still, drag him over here to confirm if you could. ^^

Someone with a 2008 join date calling someone a noob  From GA no less
Except we (Samuelson) joined the same month so I don't think that matters. Plus, you know he didn't do too well on those online matches anyway. He either sandbagged/isn't used to Wi-Fi/got terrible lag/has no idea how to fight Marth at all.

Also, flamebaiting Georgia doesn't mean much. Most people here play Melee anyway.

Now, as for using my join date to insult me. If that's the best you can do, then please find something else to do in your spare time. At least find evidence of me being emo or something. Join date? Not so much.

Grow up. The man makes a thread and you reply to it in the rudest way possible, calling him ****ty, doubting his opponent is who he says it is, etc.... Pretty obvious what kind of attitude you have. Constructive criticism, look it up.

It's just kind of sad how the Marth boards handled this thread. Here I am trying to help you guys out by showing you a couple videos of Azen's Marth and all you do is say stuff like "thats not Azen" and "that Lucario sucks." I thought the Marth boards were much much better than this. By the way THAT IS AZEN and it's really immature for you to be skeptical of it.

Wow, lol. The thread is titled "Azen's Marth." Samuelson (nicely) posted these vids to benefit Marth players - not so that Marth players could trash his Lucario. If he wanted his Lucario trashed, then he would've posted it on the Lucario boards. I'm sure Samuelson would agree that he's not the best player around, but he was playing Azen for pete's sake.

Iono, from the way that marth looked in the videos i think i could beat Azen using my marth. Im kind of used to online lag, (or at least i would b by the 2nd match). Hey Azen, wanna fight me this weekend just for kicks? I would fight u now if i didnt have class during the week. Fri-Sun is best for me.

Except that by the Lucario video he does look like that. I watched his Luigi video, and it makes me wonder if he's even the same person, because he looked to be doing very well w/ Luigi.

I only doubt it because there are people out there who fake videos with pros for views. There are numerous instances of these. You can look on Youtube and find a handful. I did not say "that's not Azen," I doubted it, because of the fakes I already mentioned. Don't put words into my mouth. If you're going to flame, flame responsibly.

And yes, I know my attitude is ****ty. I am totally oblivious of what I say to people and don't stop to think twice. I'm rash, b*tchy, and quick to lash out.

Really dude, no one is saying what I said was correct. My initial comment smelled of flamebait but I was too late to realize it. Now I pay. Mmkay?

But at least direct it to me exclusively the first time instead of trying to insult some lame state that grows Peaches on the side.

Lol, every time i navigate away from this thread, a new post shows up. My battle invitation for Azen is never gonna get seen at this rate.

Edit: Steel i would ask to fight u but think i will stand more of a chance againt Azen. I didnt forget how easily u beat me last time.

@ Samuelson: Don't take it personally. It's more just the comparison between you and azen. Azen has skill, that's something people can't really argue with(it's the amount of skill that's debatable). I'm pretty sure viet didn't mean it as a stab at you.

@dguy: I know right? And today, I saw a 17 year old insult an 18 year old! Blasphemy! And I heard that 17 year old was from 3rd street, not 8th! What is the world coming to? -.-

Anyways, on topic much? Like I said on the fairs, it works for him I suppose. I'm just a little surprised at how aggressive he is too. But again, it works for him. That's his play style. I do like some of the tactics he uses like the dolphin slash out of shield on the ledge get up.

Why are people even judging this? This is wifi. Azen is a better player than you through sheer experience, he would win.

I know he would win but i dont have any good marths where i live so i try and play some pros online to get ideas so i can improve my game. Like ive said before u learn more from losing than winning.
It wasn't completely directed at you, just don't see how people would be disappointed with his Marth seeing as this is wifi. Also there are no more fake vids of pros, Azen in brawl is all over youtube.

Oh, my mistake. But yea wifi is a completely different game (DB and fair spam are KEY!) Nice to see pros being willing to face ppl of clearly lower skill though. :)

I suppose you're right, because how to play well online and offline is different.

Also, fake videos are still on Youtube. They may be no more, but I cannot stop doubting stuff. I'm paranoid too. Cool, right?

Also, when I took a peek at your location Samuelson, I rest my case. Wi-Fi screwed you hard here.

Socal to Virginia or whatever is one coast to another. Not exactly a good connection.

Lol, funny to see someone judge another person on a join date from a forum

There's more to it than just join date, but so far in this thread, join date alone suffices.
I know alot of people that visit SB for a long time now, but never joined.
Some joined recently, and some ARE noobs that are like : YAY BRAWL LETS RUIN THE SB COMMUNITY
But still, either way, it doesn't say a rats *** about skill.
(Knowledge about the game is something different though lol)

OT: Oh btw, I don't think those vids show Azen at all.
You need someone equal or better to be able to play at your best.

It wasn't only Wifi:

1. Azen was the first good Marth i had ever played

2. I put Tap Jump On because i want to get used to it because there are way more options with it and those were my first matches i played with Tap Jump On.

3. Not only am i getting used to Tap Jump i'm also getting used to Csticking my aerials, i never got in the habbit of csticking aerials and i was working on getting used to that

4. Marth is Lucario's worst matchup and i playing Azen

5. Wifi lag probably messed us both up a good amount

But no Johns. I got ***** by Azen's Marth it's not a big deal. Please don't call me a n00b. Calling somebody a n00b doesn't help anything it just turns simple threads into a huge mess like this one.

No, no, on Wi-Fi, Johns are pretty much acceptable. I think that's a consensus of SWF.

And I've already acknowledged my mistake. It's human nature to be defensive when you get called a term with bad connotation, so it's my fault for using the wrong word to describe your Lucario. And yes, almost all Marths on Wi-Fi suck since he naturally is bad in lag anyway.

I take it you didn't use Tap jump or C-sticks versus his Peach? Other than sidestep spam, that was a masterful display of Luigi.

EDIT: Marth is your WORST match-up? That's just 6/4 though. I envy you guys.

Nah, i was using tap jump in my Luigi video. This is the Marth boards though, i really wish this drama bull**** would stop. I posted those videos so you can see how Azen uses Marth and i really wish you guys would discuss that and not my Lucario anymore.

It's hard to discuss Azen's Marth because half of the things he did on Wi-Fi are really risky offline, but is relatively effective online (mostly being more aggressive than usual).

DS against get-up attacks is something that has been recently discussed and it seemed to work well. He played very proactively online. It seemed like he was always a step ahead and tried to predict what your best choice was and even tried to punish too early (note the reverse Dancing Blade, thinking you'd try to roll behind him, when you did not).

To answer ur request samuel, i will say azen was really agressive in that video. Im suprised that he didnt RAR spike you actually. He played a marth in a way that works pretty well on wifi (fair spam to f-smash and DB occasionally). Since ur in SoCal just like me just pm me if u want a wifi match.

Aggressive is the funnest way to play to me. I don't care if camping or being defensive is more effective in wifi/lag, I still attempt to play as if offline lolz.

Needless to say, it was still fun to see you do a battle so quick online. Oh, and we camp/zone more offline, at least we Marth mains do anyway.

What happened to your Toon Link? You gotta revisit him and learn Zair set-ups if you haven't. ^^

You guys camp more offline o.o? Well only other Marth I play with is Neo, attacks more often offline than online as well. TL is fun sometimes, but I like Marth way more!
