yeah every other jarryd i meet spells there name jared or jarod or some variation but my mum wrote it as jarryd. COOL. two jarryd smashers in sydney. lol. I traded in some old xbox games and got my cube and ssbm today. It was dumb that i didn't save any money for a memory card lol. ill get one soon. Im learning the controls, its a bit strange because x and y as jump being above A really threw me. Other games i play always have jump at the bootm of the controller. I never realised how tiny the cube is, let alone its games. My character is Fox and i just finished adventure and arcade ( forgot the name) on very easy LOL. Ill get better though.

Weeeeelllll i finished my exames about 2 years ago, and now im a bum so spare time is not an issue for me (though because of the lak of any job, money is an issue and i just bough a car) so having a smash at my joint is probably a no go, soon as i get some dough in the bank though i should be able to host one (plus i have a pool so any smash babes out there, bring a cozzie lol).

Sorry to double post but can anyne give me some tips with L-Cancelling timing, more Wavedashing and Dash-dancing uses and come someone help me with that shine,dash,shine,dash,shine combo like really quickly. I saw it on Shined Blind and im finding it very hard to pull off constantly.

Fish, it just requires practice.

L-cancelling is a natural reaction to most of us now, when we hit the ground while doing an attack. Just hit L when you hit the ground.

Wavedashing is simply timing the mid-air dodge to be just after you've jumped off the ground. You can also use it when you're just about to hit the ground. As for tips, just remember that the distance you can WD changes with the angle you use on the joystick. Try to use the angle just below horizontal for max distance. If the ground is sloped, you can WD into slopes, but not away from them.

Dash dancing and Wavedashing are most often used as a mindgame, so that your opponent won't know when you're going to approach. Doing it back and forth often makes an opponent go to you, which allows you do dash away to dodge their attack, and then dash back in to retaliate while they lag. Pivotting is good if you can do it, cos it allows you to attack out of dash dance for even faster retaliation.

As for the infinite shine combo, it just takes practice. You need to shine, then jump and WD max distance towards the opponent, then shine and repeat. I can't do it myself, but it's pretty fun to see done.

Ryan if you can edge egg u can shine combo its easier than making fried egg...and we all know how much you like eggs

Roy isnt the kind of character you should learn if you cant shffl wavedash etc. Trust me and leave him until later, it pays off that way.

Shaz, I can sometimes shine combo, but I'm nowhere near consistent, despite playing Fox quite frequently. Edge egging is easier imo. Heck, Fox double short hop blaster is easier >_>

edge eggs are easier too imo although keeping those going at a fast speed is probably harder than drill shine wavedash drill shine etc

to save ryan from updating everyones ages as they get older do you think the age part should be changed to everyones birthdate or something? since it is a fixed thing that doesn't change and tells everyones age without ever becoming outdated :3
