He said it cos it sounded like a topic from GameFaqs. Not that it matters. You shouldn't post that in the Melee Discussion. It's for discussing strategies and stuff, not random chit-chat. Ask Mic and he'll tell you (and find some obscure way to close the topic/PM/Messenger program you're using to talk to him)

Ok BIST tommorow, heres what I propose.
Bryce cannot come to the smash tourney, as he has to study for TEE (remember he is still at school). I can still come though.
As me josh mat etc normally go lanning on saturday night, I say we go straight from ryans after the tourney to LP and hopefully get there around 6-7 (we want computers). Bryce can come lanning, so mat it would be greatly appreciated if you could drop by my house on the way back and pick him up. As this trip is going to cost a lot of petrol, ill will be giving you some money or buying you dinner, whichever you prefer.

Ryan, mic youre welcome to come lanning, but I cant see how dota is fun for you when youre getting owned all the time.

your lucky if i ever give you a lift ever again after what you pulled today, you and josh.

i asked for a favour, and you said you would do it and then you just buggered off without any notice.

but i dont want petrol money, or dinner, i would like an apology from both of you and for both of you to apologise to christine.

catch my drift!?!

Lol, well, you can do that if you want. Some people will be turning up later however. Mat himself said that he wanted to sleep in in the morning, cos he was working or something.

*BIST falls apart due to people not turning up at the same time*

Oh well, I'll just hope we can get the majority of matches done in the timeframe. I might get us to do RR instead, so that people who haven't yet turned up won't be inconvenienced. We'll see on the day.

And if I'm not mistaken (which I very much may be) we may have a female smasher from Aussie-Nintendo.com coming. We'll see.

EDIT: Haha Mic. Vgcats - 'OMG U GURL LETS CYBUR'

ATTENTION ALL QLD SMASHERS
Lets give Kaydash a reason to live for the next 6 months eh? ^_^

Since there has been a couple new QLD people popping thier heads into this thread, it appears that organising a QLD tourny may now be plausable. So lets do it.

I made a thread! WHOOPIE!!!

Speak for yourself.....no really do, she can beat you more than likely just as easily as she can beat KO if not more so....yeah. :p Nice work beating the hell outta Mat by the way...its about time he lost after all his gleaming wins and glorious run up till now.
Sam your efforts to reestablish yourself as a member of the smash community are noted.
hat Aussie-Nintendo sites forums seemed que3r...mainly due to this one guy who's proud of his noob, funniest and something awards....wonder if he realises it's a glorified tag of idiocy....what that's your account KO? Oh sorry....anyway, so Jon hows that BigBrother tag doing? lol.

Fighting game. Guilty Gear XX was the previous one, this one's called GGXX#R.

Mat, if you read this before I otherwise contact you, can you talk to Josh about organising more of EI2? I'm gonna need to get the time off work so I'm not running off mid-tournament to earn a bit of money, so accurate dates would be a huge help.

Thanks.

the tournament is on the 3rd of december

hopefully the interstate people will show up a few days beforehand and stay for a few days after

assuming there are still interstaters coming, because they are all invited.

I'm having trouble making ends meet on my income without thinking about travel. How ever, you have my word that if I can afford it, even without spending money, that I will most certainly be coming.

-_- Mat. I was hoping for proper hosting dates, just so I can help with any organisation required, and spend the entire time with the out-of-states-people. Yuna's tournament is hosting dates of 2nd - 8th of January, but the tournament doesn't start till the 5th.

So, is it possible to secure better dates? Cos I need exact dates to fill out a 'holiday form' at work.

Awesome Jon. Don't overextend yourself by coming here. Also, since you're struggling to come, and I'm sitting here lapping up your presence for free, I'll probably shout you some stuff if you want it. *Nice guy pose*

I highly doubt that that controller is the one that will be launched as stock standard. Its too alien. I'd reconsider buying a Rev if it were the go. Then again, as a fanboy I'd still cave after about 9-14 seconds.

Thanks Ryan, for the offer ^_~ Ryz-SENSEI!!!!!

That IS THE controller for the revolution.

And Jon, check out the Falcon forums. 8 reasons why....

heres some reasons

"It is essentially a wireless, square remote that works something like a computer mouse would in 3D space. Imagine sticking your hand into a virtual box and having your TV understand how it's moving in there. Now you're getting the idea."

"There is such great potential to do so many unique things. Playing a real-time strategy game like Starcraft would be extremely fluid and intuitive. Mario Party, we're sure you can guess, will finally be a completely new experience. What of Zelda or Mario? No word yet, but imagine swinging your sword in Zelda instead of pressing buttons. Or, in Mario, imagine having to grab blocks and build platforms."

"What if you could use two controllers at once for Fight Night or a new Punch Out? How about if Namco release a gun peripheral for a new Time Crisis, where you moved with the left analog and lifted, aimed, and reloaded your gun as if it was real? The list could go on and on, but we're sure you're already starting to gather your own ideas. "

"the analog control stick peripheral was used. We held it in our left hand to control the forwards, backwards, and side-strafing motions, as well as having access to triggers in back for scanning; meanwhile, the right hand used the main Revolution remote control to behave just like a mouse on a personal computer. It was a very natural application and felt pretty smooth, but since it wasn't a polished game it did feel a bit awkward at times, making us wonder what kind of things a developer could do to calibrate these kinds of controls for users. Nonetheless, the potential is huge for the FPS genre. "

"The controller lent the ability to look left and right by just pointing the cursor across the map, but also zooming in by moving towards the screen (or zooming back out by moving away). One can imagine how a sniper rifle in a first-person shooter might take advantage of those kinds of controls. "

it all seems cool to me

My major issue with it is stability. The features are great, the idea is mad, and it's generally gonna own hard, but it'd be like...smash with your controller cut in half. I need the stability for button mashing! :D

GREAT! GIVE SNIPERS MORE OPTIONS! FukeRs. *grumbles about CS*

And yeah, theres something satisfying about bashing a solid controller on ones head or other hard surface.

I cant actually imagine how the new controller is going to work for smash brothers and other games where heavy usage of buttons is required. I actually think it just a attempt by nintendo to get more types of people interested. It would be usefull for certain games but the whole philosophy of button mashing would be lost.

Anyway the revolution is compatable to play gamecube games and can even has the right conection required for the use of a gamecube controller as I have been told.

So they could keep the current settings for smash the way they are if they wanted to to keep it traditional. Yes the idea is mad and proberly could work I have nothing against.
