ok so i went to my first tourney ever, blah blah blah

anyways this goes out to the newer players, that are eventually going to go to a tourney and such

so story is
i was losing to this sheik, i believe his name was Noise? something like that.. anyways
so this happened to me twice.
what happened was, i was down 2 stocks to one. it happened first and 3rd match.

and well we were both at low percent

thing was i definitely did not want to lose. so i was just chillin dash dancing in my mind lol, thinking of what to do, what did i need to do to win

1. dont get hit
2. dont get grabbed
3. tech chase with stomp to get a good knee to get a position to edgeguard, which meant..
4. get a grab

this is definitely common sense to people that have done it before
and ofcourse while theres no pressure youre like duuhhh stupid

but in that situation newer players would be like omg i gotta do alot of moves
and then theyll get *****

you need to assess the situation
and you gotta want it
aaand there cant be a huge skill gap between you 2 or else it wont work lol

thats all i guess, just felt like sharing because i thought it was genius that i did it
and then i realized pro niqqas probly do this since the dude says GO

I'm going to add to this advice. On your tech chases try purposely waiting for a spot dodge instead of going for the frame perfect tech chase all the time. This is something I have trouble with as well.
