I used to play this, then forgot about it over a homework jammed semester. This means I no longer have a character.

Anyways, I'm waiting for Phantasy Star Zero for the DS. Hopefully it won't be a disappointment.

It's not terrible. I have a flashcart, so I played the JP version when it came out. I played it for a while, but it got a little boring. There are things I like about it though. Worth trying, definitely.

I still like PSO better.

Have any of you played Phantasy Star Universe for PS2 and if so how was it???

It seems to me like the original PSO has been their best MMO!!!

Episode 4 didn't look appealing to me, and I haven't heard much stuff about Universe or the PSP ones though!!!

:colorful:

I've only played a little bit of PSU. It wasn't too bad. A lot of people don't like it compared to PSO though. I always try something myself before I judge it though, so I can't really give my opinion on that.

Have never played Phantasy Star Portable.

I like Episode 4. :D Doesn't look extremely appealing, but the exp + drops are too good. Haha.

It's all good.

I just know the game is a bit different now compared to how it was when it first came out.

I'm reluctant to try this after watching my brothers daily routine of 1 hour standing around doing nothing, 2 hours of x mashan, and 1 at the in game casino minigame **** in PSU but a part of me wants to try it in the hopes that it will tide me over till monster hunter thrii comes out.

I find it funny how I'm looking forward to the single player version but when its an MMO its Satan's game.

single player games do tend to be more immersive though.

Monster hunter tri is not available in japan until aug. 1st. but for american audience it's gonna take a long time as usual. like next year

Phantasy star portable is so so, but you need friends to play with. but even then it's still not as enjoyable as PSO. Know what? They should freaking make PSO for PSP, genius!

If you are using the shortcut it made when you installed, I believe you need to go into your main PSOBB folder and make a shortcut for the online.exe. That's the right client.

No no. I went online with online.exe and put in my password to log in its displaying that message when I'm connected
I know it does that when you first install. I just went into my psobb main folder, made a shortcut of the online.exe on my desktop and restarted my computer. After that it worked fine.

well atm I can't even get into the game so I'll express my disappointment later. I use the online.exe mentioned earlier in the thread and when I hit start the program stops and nothing happens. when I use this SHPsoBB.exe thing it seems to work fine but then I run into this "please update client and use correct launcher" message.

Did you try restarting your computer after you installed?
I reinstalled, restarted comp, then tried it and still got the same problem. Online.exe opens up that first menu with start options and quit just fine but when I hit start it just crashes. The first time it happened I couldn't even tell it crashed and had to open up the task manager to make sure it wasn't just slow as **** to load.
