There was a time distant ago when I once was a devoted member of ATHF, but much has altered since then. I bear in mind the day the day ATHF was formed as a joke and at first I didn’t want it to be a joke. I tried and tried to get ATHF to emerge in the region and become a powerhouse that threatened every top player. Yet I was put down and ignored. I thought there was 4 crew “leaders” but all I perceive in my eyes is one and it is quite evident who that one is. I made numerous efforts to revolutionize the crew and make adjustments, but yet again I was ignored or called a troll. Well the truth is finally coming out and if you cannot handle it I advocate you go back to evaluating the ***s’n’*****es thread.
The main raison d'être for my departure is The Tantalus, I have nothing personally in opposition to him but I cannot perceive him as my crew leader. I guess you can call him a leader but I would use something along the lines of “tyrant” to illustrate it. Crews are supposed to be enjoyable and encouraging and all that sugar coated *** stuff. But, to be frank having a person like tant leading a crew I’m in is not for me. Whether you want to admit it or not he is a control freak. Also he supports other people in the region more than ATHF, like boss, chu and the list in endless and (I am not trying to have the name search parade jump in the thread). Tant has paid for boss to enter tourneys he has given them a ride home from greenbelt at like midnight and drove back home. I am not saying there is anything wrong with helping him, but I never heard of him helping someone in the ATHF crew to that extent. Tant still hasn’t uploaded the replay of me versus Kingtoon despite me asking numerous times. I like tant as a person he has a good heart and everything but I cannot have him as my crew leader. This crew would be in good health with “no leader” but that is unfeasible, so this is no place for me. He also lets every person in ****ing md/va that wants into the crew in. We meet sano one time and he is automatically in the crew cuz he is good? That doesn’t make any sense. Also I like bz and I don’t mind him being in the crew, but he was put in the crew before I even met the guy. Tant didn’t even go over it with any of the “crew leaders” LMFAO @ that. Also no offense to Smash GOD and llod (there cool and all) but I don’t even remember discussing them joining up or not. Now for Jose he OBVIOUSLY joined because he wanted to get tants free meal, and tant let him in cause he was good and an original. Also Cafe in the crew makes sense I guess but he is in like 42343242 crews so w/e. Tant also asked me if I wanted Tiger to join, like come on “We are accepting no more members” gtfo. Also tbh she cannot benefit the crew at all no point in considering. So after the Thread title said “Accepting no more members” We (by we I mean tant) let in Jose, Cafe, Joe and the rest of Md/Va.
Also why am I in a crew with people from MD (<3 Phil though) I can never hang out with any of you or practice or anything. This isn’t like an “ATHF NATION” or something it’s a crew. Why be in a crew with people that live on the other side of the world. You can be my friends but ****, doesn’t mean I have to be in a crew with you. Another thing, ATHF just discourages me from trying and stuff. Why should I try when there are 324323242 people in this crew to “try?” I need to focus on my own ventures and not let ATHF hold me back. Also why would I put “ATHF presents” when one other member of ATHF and myself are running said event, that means me and one other person present the event lol. And I disagree with almost all of what people from ATHF post (tant already knows that) so I don’t want to associate with that. **** I can go on forever with reasons why I am leaving this crew, but why stop here.
I have made post about improving ATHF and what my opinions are and everything, but no one seems to be concerned enough to amend anything, I didn’t want this crew to be as dreadful as FNB, but you all accomplished that and more. Like I said I want to pursue my own ventures and not get held back by ATHF, Sito was a smart man he left before he truly got caught up in the stupid ****, he left when ATHF was, as I considered, fun. Now it’s just meatriding june and following tant. Also whenever june wins a tourney or places good no one says “ATHF won good stuff.” I don’t even think people know june is ATHF tbh lol. Also I don’t even like most of this crew on a level to be in a crew with them, like I have seen you guys but it’s not like you are my close friends, same prolly goes for most of you. **** at one time I considered ATHF one of the most important things to me as far as smash goes now I don’t even think of ATHF as a whole since it’s so jumbled with random people that don’t belong and people that don’t even attend tourneys. I just want to be done with this since it’s just so random and way too many people and apparently no one wants to change anything. If I ever join up another crew/form my own it will be all VA and all actual friends and people I can hang out with and have a good time at a smash tourney or not.
I am sick of being the only ATHF member that has ran successful tourneys recently, when ATHF is supposed to be making a movement to run the best tourneys in Md/Va, what a joke. It is really just me and whoever I co-host with. I don’t even remember tant holding a tourney that got huge entrance tbh. Maybe he co-hosted but like Hagerstown and places like that never get huge attendance. I am tired of carrying you all when it comes to running events and making us look like the best TO force. That is not true it’s more like SOVAman is the best TO force.

You make some good points but you also have some very stupid ones. Junes our boy and its no secret he's in ATHF, that's like saying some stupid **** like no one knows Coney or Takeover are in FNB. Speaking of FNB, not sure how you compared us to them, that's certainly not the case. In any event if its June playing or B0nk playing I support my homies(not v/s NJ tho LOLOL jk jk)
In regards to the members of this crew, I agree I was not in favor of everyone but the less active members are in their own section till they can return to events. Now, you've never actually made a good effort to get to know other members outside of your circle, Sano for example, was brought in pretty early when this crew was forming, he was good and nice but not 100% comfortable with the scene so we offered him a place to keep him interested and coming to events, it worked for awhile. I've gotten to know everyone at this point and I don't have any problems, their all mad chill.
Lol @ you carrying people in TOing, you are mad pro at getting them venues but come on dawg, you've always needed some help with brackets and getting matches going, you do a lot tho for someone so young but outright acting like you could of done it all on your own? Kinda lame. I think Tant having a hand in almost every nation he goes to speaks for itself, so chill. Honestly, I always thought you let me co host cause we were so tight and it was fun, was I wrong? I did my share to as I re call, either way it was always fun.
You've had some good ideas but some of them created a problem, like kicking people out? This crew promotes having fun, that's not fun, seems like you just got all this negativity in you recently. Well anyway, we met in the middle and agreed less active people would go in a section till they could be more active. I don't know what ventures you're even talking about, you keep saying you don't care about the game. Are you trying to be a TO now?
iirc Jose said no original was teaming with him so he joined cause we all like Jose regardless, the food was a bonus that day I guess, he hasn't had any problems as far as I know, that's my dude. Korn too.
I don't know what your beef with Tant is, like we all act a lil different on the boards, who cares? He's gone well out of his way to help people in the crew more then anyone(helping June go OOS multiple times, arranging the KD trip, ect), also those rides he gave Boss or whoever weren't free homie and wtf he argues with Chu all the time. Pretty sure when I brought up you and b0nk going to Otakon he even insisted I make sure you two were in our hotel, which me and Nate made sure you were. In regards to your video, he has a terrible memory, I had to remind him several times to get the disk to fix my computers, it's true.
I knew this was coming, I just wanted to see how you'd do it. Sorry you feel your voice was lost here, wasn't the case with me but we've had enough talks that you know I just wanted to keep the peace. Good luck with w/e you do next tho.

I am sick of hiding the truth and not saying what I truly believe, I see a lot of my words were misunderstood by you Phil so lemme clear this up for you.
I try to talk about this stuff irl but tbh I don't think any of you guys care to talk about it except like Ben and a few others. Also I have told you phil at Otakon I wanted to leave. But, about the TOing thing I like TOing with you guys (phil and ben) but I never want to give all of ATHF credit since that just never made sense to me to give a group that only 4 people actually TO in credit, sorry everyone. I like running tourneys with you phil and I like running them with BMX, but I would much rather just give credit to the people actually running the event. And we never need tant to make brackets we will never learn that way

This is very sugar coated and humorous to me, Scott I never said I don't like you, and I have nothing against you but you think I do. I posted why I am leaving the crew and you are one of the reasons. You like to control this crew way too much and that is why I am leaving. But, you on the other hand like to get on aim and talk a lot of **** behind my back, I cannot tolerate that I said what I believed to you on this board. And you don't do the same that is extremely dirty and low. At least my real friends let me know when someone I thought was a good friend talks **** about me.

Korn got into an argument with a few FNB members one day on the xat and a couple ATHF members joined his side and softened him up and then they called Korn ATHF and Korn went with it to piss us off lol. I'm sure it prolly became more than just that after though.

This really is silly to discuss here. I will go on the record to say I don't enjoy hating on anyone, ever, and I love everyone in my crew immensely. I will also say that I don't recall ever saying anything about Brandon, and would correct myself immediately if informed on something I said that I shouldn't have. I am not perfect. I am human. I say things I shouldn't say, a lot.
If anyone would like to discuss this with me further, I'll be at Gamepad next week and would be happy to discuss any concerns or issues there. Until then, we'll continue to have fun and enjoy each others company.

I'd say around this area, crews are dead. FNB don't really seem to be doing much these days, at least as a crew. Actually, brawl in general in this area seems pretty dead. In fact, in my opinion, we've chased out most of the randoms in MD/VA, it's mostly all PR players cutting each others throat for that 50 dollar pot.
I know I've ended my share of smashers dreams with my Champion Knight XD.
But seriously though, you guys better try to get more people in the smash scene, otherwise it's gotta be the top 10 PR fighting each other every tourney.

FNB.. when was the last time they crew battled? They are rarely in full force.. and Juice and God Kais are not MD/VA so you won't be battling this coming weekend, which is why I said what I said.

Everytime we get newcomers in the scene, most of you look at it as "a free win" or "free money" so they never come back. If some of you actually took the time to welcome them to the community and help them improve, then they might actually stick around.

Kenny, I was being serious. We do virtually nothing to bring and keep new players. It's not about being the best region skill-wise, it's about attendance.

Im the only person that has gone out of my way to talk to new players at events and introduce myself that ive seen. When people are remembered it makes them feel welcomed and more likely to return. Most of you would rather make fun of the wiimote yoshi kid rather than remember his name is 2fast and he is a yoshi main from va. I think we reap what we sow and you're seeing the effects of it now. No one wants to out of their way to make events unique other than the athf events we had and the gamepad stuff. We've done good things this year and arent completely dead but times are also tough and quite frankly i cant drive 100+ miles each weekend for events. I wouldnt give up on that idea completely guys, just simply help new players out.
Someone else who actually does this well surprisingly is chu. Chu usually takes time to introduce himself to new players and remember their names and who they use. He usually gives tips to new players and will throw them a game to make them feel like they have potential.
Thats one of the things i think we've been lacking. I should add that to my TO guide, lol.
