I'm still a ninja in training.

And by ninja in training I mean I have a slightly above average build.

DZLE-Falz: Are you mafia?
Gustave: You mentioned that you wanted to be serious, how will you do this?
rPSI: Can you name some goosd and bad qualities of you regarding mafia?
Vrael: any gut feeligns on suspects?
Lythium: long walls or short cryptic notes?
Shadow Moth: Why did you put Lythium at L-3?
HeatStroke: give me a (serious) question related to this game.
-Rei-: How experienced are you with mafia?

This should get stuff going

I'm not going to bother roleplaying.
And I'll just play the way I normally play, I know that I play fairly serious.

V, are you a killer?

I generally end up looking scum first day. Definitely something that I'm going to try to avoid this time.

Same question, right back at you.

Think about it.. every question has an answer that is expected right? The "best" answer. Can you ask questions and know what's the best answer for that question?
That would certainly be a useful ability but unfortunately I can only be honest about my answers. I have no "best answers"

V sometimes gets in a pointless argument about something trivial.
And depending on what playstyle I pick I either look scummy or lazy by D2.

Wrong answer Mothim. In order to read people, you must know what's best, and know what's the worst, what should be looked into more deeply. by what you said, I can only think that your questions from now on, will be worthless.

Just because I cannot expect a best answer does not mean I cannot ask a revealing question.

It means you're asking questions for no viable reason.

Answer me this, when you ask a question to someone, what do you expect from them?

I expect them to keep answering my questions until they let something slip.

I do not believe in a best answer as there are many answers that may reveal something to me.

Heat, think about what answering yes or no would imply for my role, and just "he's a nutcase yes/no".

they let something slip? You do understand.. that people think before they answer? With questions that have no string of thought, their answers will lead you to nothing.

EBWOP: my previous statement was directed at mothim.

and yes, it's a simple question, generally speaking, no one has any reason to say 'no' to my question. We all know the detective is the powerful role am i right? and we also know who clearly knows who the detective is.

Nutcases will say yes, because, well, they know
Paranoids will say yes, so they blend with nutcases
killers will say yes for the same reason.

You ignoring this question without thinking of this will draw suspicion on you sir V...

NICE! Roger!
thanks Andy!

I really don't think he meant to ignore it, I think he misinterpreted you. *twitch*

since more than one person think V should just answer, let V explain.

what if V answered "yes"?
It would imply V is a nutcase you say. If he had answered honestly, scum would have a safe target for the night. if he didn't he could be scum or a paranoid playing tricks.
now a nutcase could just answer "no" to prevent being killed in the night, but I think everyone sees that this going to be "what if he thought I would..."which is classic WIFOM.

V just wanted to point out that it was a pointless question and would leave the questioner with not actual information.

pre-EDIT: you even say everybody would just say yes.
I thought you asked a serious question.

V, what you're showing is ignorance to a question, this is twice you've done this to me..

This is a serious question, just because the answer is there clearly in your face, are you willing to answer it? I mean, this question is too easy.
